DreamGear put this out in America as a Plug'N'Play item you plug right in to the TV and play. It looks like a Dreamcast controller, solid black, with not enough buttons. Some of the games are different, it doesn't have Bob Shop or Dangerous Zone. The names seem to be different so I can only assume the games are not ALL the same but it's pretty much the same item for a different region and in a different package. :/

Well, here in Germany you can find them sometimes in Bookshops (Weltbild). But a while ago (one or two years) there was an Sega Handheld thing like this avaiable at Aldi or Lidl. Maybe they selled them somewhere in the UK, too.

@useless1997 thanks for the useful (lol) info! i've looked and looked and can't find the gamespower 50, all i found was the vg pocket from america which is quite expensive since it has to be shipped all the way to the uk. the sega megadrive handheld is still being sold, i was considering it as an alternative but i've found a handheld n.e.s. one which also has a camera, video and mp3 player, on ebay with a slide-out form factor :-) i'll get that!

These are branded in the USA as "VG Pocket" and apparently still being made. I picked up a 50 game model for $10 today at a Gamestop out of curiosity. It has 3 licensed games and decent 16-bit graphics in all the games. I apparently bought the "caplet" model. It didn't include batteries or a TV cable, though.

There's apparently some VG Pocket models out with licensed copies of Castlevania in them.
