last crash was because of pure stupidity. the plane that collided with the fighters was a civilian plane whos passengers and pilot (if he/she could've dared to call him/her self a pilot) flew in because they wanted to see what was going on. what kind of stupid ass would fly their plane into the middle of an airshow demonstration. the tower had to have not given them clearance. just pure stupidity.

The pilot was Bud Holland...who had a very bad history of stupid stunts..like clearing hills by 3 ft just to scare hell out of bystanders...his co pilot was Mark McGeehan who hated Holland for his antics.If you look at the very last frames you can see McGeehan eject from the plane but he was too low and didnt survive. His last words to Holland were probably not affectionate.

I remember my dad saw the b-52 vid and immediately said what an asshole right when the guy crashed and I was like hey jeez dad come on, but he was right, the guy should never have been banking so steeply at low altitude and low airspeed in a plane as big as the b-52, he literally fell right out of the sky from totally losing lift, my grandpa who flew b-29s and kb-50 refuelers said the same thing, you are supposed to know the limits of the big airplanes and never exceed them, they arent fighters

All that F-14 did in this video was compress the air around the jet. You need to stop watching the stupid videos on YouTube that say that's the speed of sound being broke or blogs written by people that have no clue about the science of aerodynamics!

This is called a Prandtl-Glauert condensation cloud. It will do that at almost any speed, it depends on the atmospheric conditions!

It is not caused by a sonic boom, or breaking the sound barrier.

This is how it works.

When this F-14 was put in this particular atmospheric condition where a pressure drop is accompanied by a temperature drop and if that temperature drop reduces the temperature of the air to below the dew point, the moisture in the air will condensate causing a Prandtl-Glauert condensation cloud.

Look it up, not here on YouTube, but in a "book" like you told the other guy to do!

That B52 Bomber was in Airway Height at Fairchild Air Force Base. My wife went to school with one of the girls dad that died in that crash. I was at home 40 miles away on Mt Spokane and watched the mushroom of fire and Smoke as it happened. They were having a practice run a few days before a show. That show never happened due to this crash. It was insane to see that big of a mushroom knowing it was at the Air force base. I thought a bomb went off.

It is still very clear in my mind.

The Pilot was NOT drunk. He was know for his crazy stunts in B52 bombers. The girls dad I spoke about was over seeing what he was doing. Everyone said he was crazy but he didn't saying he was a good pilot and to prove it he was willing to tag along on the ride. He was not supposed to be on that flight and tagging along cost him his life. After the investigation they found the the craze pull up and bank was to avoid hitting our nuclear bomb storage. I thank the pilot for his last choice he made.

The B-52 if I remember righlty was supposed to have been flown by a drunk pilot (no surprise there) and both Pilots in that near miss with the ground with the MIG-29 at the end lived, but they were lucky to pull it off really, and probably a lot less lucky once they touched back down to ground after writing off that fighter jet in such a public way.

The B-52 pilot was not drunk it was merely a case of pilot error, he overbanked the aircraft while being too close to the ground. And a pilot being drunk while flying is an extremely rare event especially in the military, so it would be extremely suprising if there was alcohol involved in the crash. Nearly all pilots observe the "8 hours from bottle to throttle" rule

this is how it looks like when an aircraft is breaking the sound barrier (entering supersonic flight, eg. Mach 1). You can clearly see the cone shape of the condensed air, ie. the white stuff are water droplets (clouds) formed due to the drop in air pressure.
