People from France or a European country are not considered or documented as white. European countries recognize white people and black people in their countries. White people in European countries are considered white IF they are white, and they're considered black if they are black. Black people in France are black race and French nationality. Saying "French" is not saying a race. Beyonce's mother is of black, Indian, and WHITE French descent. This isnt about Obama but he's black too.
