Sándor Fehér perished on the Costa Concordia and I find it tremendously moving that his final "performance" on earth was, indeed, to "teach" children. Those he helped to calm and prepare for rescue and whose lives he saved at the cost of his own earthly existence will remember him as a compassionate, gentle and gracious human being. He was far more than a gifted violin virtuoso, he was a decent and caring man. Thank you, Sándor Fehér. Peace, comfort and love to you for eternity.

What a loss! At the end, I could hear the cimbalom and gordon in my mind instead of the piano and the bass. So few teachers respect tradition, Sandor most surely did, and he is someone I would loved to have met and known. We have been denied that. The way to set up a scholarship in his name is through a reputable institution such as an existing university, a financial institution or a civic organization with international credibility. (Kiwanis Club International, Lions Club International, etc.)
