My wife and I have a Shiba(Kaerue) and a Boxer(Lola) and they are the best of friends. We got the Lola and Kaerue two days apart. Kaerue seems to be the more dominant out of the two at times. The boxer tends to want to just play.

I've had two boxers before now I have no dogs my parents are hoping to get a new boxer puppy this year and I hope to get a shiba inu puppy too since I've always wanted one I hope the two gets along. =)
@shibakun - He is actually a purebred Shiba. The white patch on the back & high socks are from very old breeding lines (so I was told from a judge when I took him to the Beikoku Shiba Inu Aikokai Specialty Show)
i want to get a shiba inu puppy, but im still not sure because i heard that all they do is wander around the house and i actually interacted with one at the pet store and she didnt even play with me, all she did was wander and look at the floor. should i get this dog?
Every single Shiba is different! Ours we call, "The mutant" since she is very outgoing and a lot bigger than others. She is very independent, but likes to cuddle on her own time. They are a lot of work though!!
jpresnail - sorry for the delayed reply. We got the boxer first and then added the shiba inu. Our boxer is very submissive and the Shiba definately took the role as the dominant leader. good luck!
Jakkihare - The boxer is 18 months now and the Shiba is 8 months.
Which pup did you have first, we just got a shiba pup, we have always loved boxers and that will be our next dog in a few years, but I have read that adding another dog can be a bit of a challenge.
