A320 has much better safety records than 737 NG, mostly due to fly by wire
737 does not even have a door for the body gear, looks weird
737 NG is redesigned from 737 Classic which is redesigned from 737 Original from 1960s, so the 737 wings have low ground clearance since its originally designed to use low by-pass turbojets, so the new turbofan engines are too big to fit, so they're de-rated and has a weird Oval shape.
Airbus is ahead of Boeing. Before I get silly comments arguing, here is evidence (en. wikipedia. org/ wiki/ Competition_ between_ Airbus_ and_ Boeing# Orders_ and_ deliveries):
|2011 orders: Boeing - 428, Airbus - 1231 (almost 3 times more than Boeing)
|2010 orders: Boeing - 530, Airbus - 574
|2009 orders: Boeing - 142, Airbus - 271
|2008 orders: Boeing - 662, Airbus - 777
Airlines are not stupid. If Boeing were really better these figures were gonna be different.
@EmadIV very true but as of right now though when they release the 737 max, even though it wont sell as well as the a320, the max is better. and you cant argue that until they reveltionize the a320.
@figure261 what? how can you know for sure it is better (not even gonna be better)? you don't know that, 737max is a desperate move from boeing to take some sales from the neo
@juanjillocr your saying its a desprate move, yes it is, but inspite of the move they made the 737 max much better then the neo. the 737 is claiming that fuel burn per seat would be reduced by 10-12% with the 737-8 MAX achieving a 7% advantage in total cash ownership costs (per seat). and then you add on that the 737 looks better inside and out.I really dont care about sales, because we all know who has the better plane as of right now, there both very good planes indeed, but the max wins.
@figure261 don't be ignorant 1-MAX is a paper airplane, there's no "made" in something is just a project 2-the fuel efficient is all about the engines, not the plane per se. Are those super fuel efficient engines made yet? no, neo's just came outta the oven 3-by the time MAX comes out it would burn 3-4% less than the NEO, which is good but not great 4- better interior? how would you know that if you haven't seen it? you see? you're full of bullshit
@juanjillocr dude there keeping the neo interior the same! same old shit, the boeing 737 always had something better then the neo, and still will when they realese the max!, like can you see that its time for a change for the a320, there complaining that the techonloalgy isnt here, yet look at the a350 why cant they put that interior in the a320! but in my opion both companies have something that the other one dosent, and i also think that both are wasteing potential cuz they can do alot more.
@figure261 Well man, I dont get you when you say "the interior is the same" I mean, how is it gonna look like? You mean seats, lcd, touch screen, lights? You can sure have that inside the A320, any of them, specially the NEO, same with Boeings. That's an airlines call... and the XWB is a lot more expensive than the a320, that includes cabin however, do your research, a320s cabin is one of the greatest cabins. It isnt old tech, they keep on changing what needs to be change
@juanjillocr what i find is each company keeps waiting until the other company make s a move just like how airbus released the neo, boeing was quick to bring out the max, boeing made a dreamliner, airbus made a350...to me its all a game, but i wish that they would put some origanality into these planes! the futre is now, to me its pathectic when they say oh we changed mode lighting and piviot bins, like what happened to aviation, it hasnt changed scince the past 54 years.
@figure261 well, its all about comfort since they cant make engines burn less fuel (not as much as they'd like), and u know... i hate flaying those old 737, or the 757 even the 767... they're way to uncomfortable, with the new 747-8 and the 787 that's changed. you pay a lot of money for a ticket, the least u expect is that the airplane is comfty inside, right? and on the other hand, is all about safety dude, the modern the plane, the safer they are... they both are doing great at that
It's not "targeted" at the 787, but a replacement for the A330 and A340 and a direct competitor to the 777. A380 is in a totally different class, way bigger than the 747.
In last month's Paris Airshow Airbus booked more than 500 orders in the most categories from the 319 to the 320 neo all the way to the A380. Boeing had to admit miscalculations in their re-engining of th B737. So all those foul-mouthed, primitive, and intellectually challenged punters (mostly redneck americans) can say all they want to denigrate Airbus. This however does not change the fact that Airbus Industries is ahead of Boeing.
@AdverbAdjective you obviously are not in the airline industry because otherwise it would be you who is really deranged. Poor misguided American who still thinks their country is the greatest when it actually is in economic ruin.
@hommedterre lol go back to rioting in the street. where's the british version of youtube? oh that's right, just like everything else, there isn't one. it's so sad that airbus has to copy everything Boeing does, and you wonder why Boeing is always outperforming them
@AdverbAdjective Really? Can I ask why Boeing 777 was designed with fly-by-wire after Airbus flew A320 several times? Why Boeing still can't create a new narrowbody as they promised? Why Boeing need 737 MAX while they claim a new aircraft can beat A320 Neo out of the skies. Why airlines complained that Boeing always refer to their engineers suggestion instead listen to them at first when A320 NEO is coming.
@CYKind900 Even though im not the person that your replying to ill answer your questions. B777 was designed with it so it can go against the A330/A340. Possibly the A350. Boeing is planning a new narrow body possibly a twin aisle jet for the replacement of the 737 . As for the 737MAX Boeing needs something to compete with the A320NEO. Airlines complaining ?. that is false.
@ikolkyo967 When Boeing declare a new narrow body project, they "Actual" said Airbus strategy was destined to fail, Boo Hoo. To boost confident about new planes, engineers created delicious rumors for airlines to gulp. Until NEO shows up, leaving Boeing speechless thus declare the project scrapped. Today, Boeing still doesn't provide accurate specification for 737 MAX and the diameter of new engine still unknown. Airlines complaining? False? Duh... ask Ryanair, they are one of the experts
@CYKind900 The Engine diameter is either going to be 68in if go on Boeing's site. Airline complaining is False. If they are how come they have 306 737-800's . Ryan air took down Airbus's offer and reopen negotiations with Boeing. as for the 737MAX. Right now they are up to 600. 700 orders according to Boeing's website. They Announced the 737MAX in August and they have already almost at the amount of orders as the NEO. 737MAX is going to surpass the NEO just like the NG is doing right now.
@ikolkyo967 So an airline that has many Boeing aircraft in their inventory doesn't complain? If you read news from Flightglobal or Aviationweek, you would have been notice that Ryanair is about to switch option with cheaper Comac 919. You're blinded by Boeing advertise. If 737 MAX doing well than Airbus, why the team doesn't make up some pace in Paris AirShow? If they missed the chance, other Airshow are available to catch up. Still, NEO has 1000 and more orders, but those number didn't stay.
@CYKind900 Ryan air would be stupid to use a China made plane. What does the PAris airshow have to do with this. ?737MAX is catching up in orders its at about 600 700 orders According to Boeing's website. and they Announced it in August total Domination. My opinion Boeing will kick ass. your opinion is Airbus . we have our diffrences.
@ikolkyo967 In economic downturn period, Paris and other AirShow is a boost for coming slowed down market. Boeing was desperate and asking Delta and some of their loyalties to fund the re-engine project. A desperate move and a tragic end of new narrow body frame. By the way, Ryanair was planning to cancel the remain of orders. Embraer was also on the table for price discussion. Conclusion, it the fading of Boeing crown.
You can't even order the MAX right now as the specifications aren't even out. AA, as others, placed commitments. The plane will sell quite good, no question, but don't call others retards if you have no clue yourself.
Seriously, have you even read the press release i gave you? Boeing doesn't take orders for this plane yet, so how can it have any? Commitments are not the same as orders.
@ikolkyo967 Jesus man, knock it off with the orders shit!!! As of january 1st Boeing's got only 150 firm orders of their MAX and it's from Southwest and you keep that AA shit? Damn it man!!
@LottoWinner999 -- Bosnia and Herzegovan is on naughty list cause USA secret service brought in Bosnia thousands of Mujaheddin radical Islamic fighters to fight there ,and they stayed on after the war. That is why they are on the list.
U.S. Air 767ER, ground run - leak check. CF6-80C2B2 exploded at 93 % N1. Damage; engine split in two - joined only by fan mid shaft, fuel tank penetrated, fire, lower half of forward wing spar cut . Cause; intergranular fatigue.
Prior Histories; 3 ‘routine inspections’ of cracks found back to 1996.
6 Service Difficulty Reports of in-flight shutdowns ( after just 14 months) due to seized, vibrations, etc. All without follow-up or cause
@BOACMach2 Hey your Neos are going to CFM + Pratt Whitney engines made in the good ole USA + big bucks for American workers. Airbus cannot build a safe, descent jet engine which is the hallmark of real avaition expertise standadized Boeing. Boeing knew Airbus cannot develop its own engine cuz they lack Boeing research and design and thar means Airbus planes are like model kit and U glue the engines on last. The RR engines are disaster + they run them on low cuz there afraid it will explode.
@LottoWinner999 A DUMB DAN TOP TEN FAIL!.....the notion that CFM International is 100% American. Lottie, I got news for you, CFM International's LEAP-X engine is a 50-50 joint venture between GE & Safran of FRANCE. Your new nickname is hereby Mr Pid, first name Stu!
BOACMach2 The A380 will flop, it would merely be following in a long tradition. Without Airbus, Boeing would have a complete monopoly over large commercial aircraft. Whatever happens, it is inconceivable that the French would let Airbus fail. As President Chirac said of the A380 at its roll-out in Toulouse: "This veritable ocean liner of the sky will go down in history like the Concorde." Perhaps not the best of analogies, but you know what he was trying to say.
NTSB: URGENT TESTS TO BE DONE ON EXPLODING GE ENGINES
GE CF6-80: American 767ER; ground run for power lag write-up, CF6-80A exploded at 95 % N1. Damage; engine split in-two, fuselage penetration, complete severing of left keel member, partial severing of the right, holing of the wing fuel tank, fire damage to wing and fuselage. Cause; fatigue fractures, blade slot bottoms.
Air New Zealand 767ER, CF6-80A exploded in climb. Damage; engine and wing leading edge. ATSB # 200205780.
@BOACMach2 Thats an old engine they will be using on the new neo and GE and Pratt & Whitney will be selling Airfags their engines for 12 million dollars each and think of all those jobs coming to American cuz U Brits cannot build a safe working engine. ha, ha, 12 million each!!!
@LottoWinner999 GE and Pratt Whitney American Companies will be supplying all jet engines for the A320neo" We already know Stu Pid (LottoLoser) hasn't figured CFM Int. are a US/French joint venture. How do you feel about that Stu Pid? Not only is the airframe European, 50% of the profits from CFM's engines go back to France..lol! But you're used to being made a fool of aren't you Stu Pid. Can't argue the fact that Airbus "trounced" Boeing at the PAS. Boeing execs are panicing cos 737 is dead!
i htink boeing is being realy fucked up right now with there 787 its problem after problem and how long has it ttooken. i think the a350 wil blow oeing out of the water for this one
@figure261 There were no A380 sales but the Boeing 747-8I had big sales at Paris Air Show + Hong Kong Airlines cancelled 10 A380s. Boeing sold 17 747-8I'S and China Airlines ordered 5 747-8I'S + this totals 133 Boeing 747-8I'S sale in 5 months VS 241 Airbus A380's that took 5 years. Every B747-8I sale is nail in the Airbus Coffin which must sell 500 A380's to break even. Do the math Boeing strategy is going to force Airbus to cancel A380 cuz it cannot breal even + its doomed to be canceled!
What a funny discussion about savety and engines. Both aircraft makers - Boeing and Airbus use engines made by Rolls Royce (Boeing e.g. 737) or PW or GE and Engine Alliance (MTU / PW / GE). So you can fly onboard of an American Boeing with EUROPEAN engines or on an Airbus with AMERICAN engines.
Ha Ha Ha..well what have we here! LottoLoser, AKA Dumbo Dan, the Number 1 Dunce of YT and figure of fun. What are you today Dan, USAF or RAF, test pilot or tea boy? I know it's tough to accept boring Boeing are outsold by Airbus these past few years.
The good news is the 7late7 might eventually get delivered late this year. The bad news is all existing 787 profits will go in compensation claims. Hardly any airlines (even American ones) want the 747-800I when the A380 & 777ER are so much better.
Is it bird? Is it a plane? No,its Eurofagger less powerful than an model choo choo train, fast as a WW1 Biplane, able to fly to 500 feet. Eurofagger a piece of shit with two wings that can't get out its own way. Bulilt on the cheap withough Yankee Know How & Ingenuity to build a real airliner. Pilots draw straws to see who flys and fies first on A350. Airbus AKA The Eurofagger "The Fly + Die Plane" + Frogs hope 3RD world nation airlines will take off their hands for discount!
I dont like the a350. I dont like the flight control its some joystick. I like the yoke alot better, more control. 787 looks alot better. Airbus had more accidents and crashes then boeing. As the a350 is in building there freakin stealing boeings ideas so they can make their plane look better. Boeing is alot cooler! Cant wait for the federal aviation agency to aproove the 787 for commerical travel!!
@dukeofstradone They do indeed have more accidents, but only because they've been around a lot longer. You need to look at the total fatalities divided by the number of passenger miles flown to get an accurate indication of the safety of an airplane. By this measure Boeings are very safe aircraft.
@chrissyboy129 Your data re Airbus crashes is incorrect. Broadly speaking, each manufacturer is as safe as the other, Boeing's own database proves that. Better to research before you make such throwaway comments. It undermines your case, if you get my meaning.
If Boeing is soo good as they love to claim, then why is the delivery of their 787 incurring massive delays? The airlines that have ordered the 787 are already getting absolutely annoyed with their empty promises. tPerhaps they should stop their (deceptive) spin and get down to serious business called realling working or perhaps their workers are really mediocre?
@hommedterre they're making sure they get it right unlike airbus who had their planes grounded because of faulty engineering. "perhaps" airbus just produces shit
Boeing still wins in my mind. Boeing came out with the 787 first and did not rush it. The A350 is a great aircraft but this video shows the first class features and then the regular class. The regular class( I know not right name) is a let down to me. It looks like another 747 or an A-380. Boeings 787 if you look up the interview video has more of a comforting feeling rather than A-380's same old design. Im no engineer but the 787 still sticks with me. P.S. Dont hate if you havent seen video :-)
@jet0r4v Seen the 787 video and you're right it is nice, but Boeing keeps delaying it though and it's really pissing off airlines. ANA was supposed to get one back in September or October.
@TheJLLouis A350 cost more than 787 and will use better aviation technologies because it is a younger aircraft. Besides the A350 is a bigger aircarft than the 787 so hardly a copy.
@TheJLLouis ask ur US.gouvernement about all the german-brains they steald during the world war2,and after the ww2 !!tkx to them u have nasa and great technology now!!the whole world know about it ,so dnt open ur mouth so wide :) :)
this interior looks good i have to say being a Boeing fanatic, but that 787 just has that something about it, i reckon they'll be almost the same, that lighting is cool! i still think it's a bit 777 ish tho. but until i actually see i won't know.
Boeing Reclaims Large Order Lead Over Airbus It's Deliveries Count.Boeing Leads There, Boeing regained substantial order lead over Airbus, according to both planemakers. Seattle Times reports Airbus listed 713 gross new orders for year at end of August, with a net total - taking cancellations into account -- of 656 jets. Over same period, Boeing listed 773 gross orders, 763 net. The figures do not include Boeings last 640 orders will burry Airbus! TSK,TSK
@LottoWinner999 Hey Baldrick, try using sales figures from 2011 not those from 2007.
Boeing are clearly a troubled company right now and you know it. They can't even get the delivery of the 747-8F right. They had no competition in this sector and now we hear the GE "super advanced" engines are not so fuel efficient after all. This is like the bride deciding not to turn up for the wedding ceremony and must count as one of the most humiliating and embarrassing episodes in Boeing's history. LOL!
Very nice airplane. but I don't think it is going ot sell as well as the 787. Boeing already has a ton of orders on their new plane. Though they've probably lost some because of hte delays. Airbus should use the Trent 1000 and Genx engines on this craft to reduce fuel consumption. Airbus or Boeing both are excellent manufacturers. You can't give one credit without looking at the other. Both great pioneering companies.
@EpiDemic117 airbus never select the best engines out their thats wahy the a380 failed it eviromentally friendly test, like fuel efficiency and consumption and emitions and stuff. they should have put four 2 or 4 rolls royce trent 1000's or GEnx-2B's but that'd of bin copying boeing !
@whitireia hey have u heard tthat all quantas A380'S have been suspended due to a engine falling to bits whilst in flight? he had to make an emergency landing but got down safe, apparently from people who was on that flight said it was the most frightening experience of their life's, and they said sum of the metal went straight through the wing, Airbus need to rethink how their going to make the a380 ultra safe, you never get an engine falling to bits on a Boeing airplane, the 747 is safer.
It was a Qantas 747 that recently had an uncontained engine failure - where a sizable hole blew out of the side of the outboard engine (source: 'Qantas 747 makes emergency landing after 'uncontained engine failure')
I can assure you that Boeing have had their moments with the 747 due to design flaws.
Infact all new airliners experience some sort of teething problems when they first enter service. The A380 entry hasn't been too bad...
@whitireia no, yeah it did happen to a quantas 747 just months ago, but today a Quantas A380 narrowly escaped a crash killing over 300 people, rolls royce admit that the Trent 900 isn't their best engine and it doesnt have some major problems but they told airlines who have the A380 powered by Trent 900's to Keep an eye on em as they were out very quick, much quicker then rolls Royce say in the manual. the number 2 engine blew up causing serious damage to the wing and blew the back of engine off
@whitireia it's a shame for that aircraft, brand new aswell, bet Airbus Are gutted that has happened to their aircraft thanks to rolls Royce engines, I'm British and even i think rolls Royce should withdraw the Trent 900 if it continues to fail. the a380 is one of the few Airbus planes i like, i am mainly a Boeing fan. can't wait for the 787 dreamliner, and the possible 737 replacement, i believe Boeing are going to make a double decker plane too to replace the 747 but not b4 the 747-8i.
sorry, that was an explosion from an oxygen bottle in the under belly carriage and not an un contained failure as recorded in the qantas A380 incident
A Qantas 747 had an uncontained engine failure in August 2010 and a delta 747 just 3 weeks ago. Seems that people don't care a f... about such accidents as long they don't happen to an A380.
@EpiDemic117 A350 has already 500 orders and will use engines specifically designed for A350. A350 engines will be more efficient than the Genx engine.
The A350's panoramic windows are the widest in the industry (in which I don't know how wide will it be), while the 787 is having 19" tall which makes it the tallest in the industry. The 19" tall windows on the 787 are good but I still think panoramic windows are the BEST which will be available on the A350 bringing more natural light other than beautiful vistas.
@jewelshare the new Boeing 787's windows will revolutionise things for passengers, u just can touch a button and the windows would dim instead of completely blocking the light out with window shades!
@TheMarkOfTheBeast1 not at all! The 777 does longer flights than this, so its like saying the 380 will kill off the 737. It wont kill off the 787, because they are both excellent aircraft, and both are widely desired by airlines.
@TheMarkOfTheBeast1 the A350-Delay-Liner represents how stupid Airbus is considering A350 does not have an engine + Eurotards at RR say their going to have to design, develop + build a new engine. Of course this delays the A350 until 2017 if there lucky? U should remember that the Airbus is piece of shit with two wings. Also GE turned down Airbus for the Nex-Gen Engines because of Boeings exclusivity contract and the A380 is two years behind and 6 billion dollars in the hole + will be cancelled!
@aviomaster yes much quiter, i rided 747 and 777 several times and last june i flow from london to dubai with emirates a380, i couldnt hear the engines at all, so quiet and comfortable!that what make boeing see RED !! they just can not accept that other country are better than them (usa) it realy disgusting
@aviomaster you are so fucking retarded.... The new Boeing 787 and 747-800i are using a unique rolls royce engine system that distributes air than using more engine power. If you look a Boeing videos they have videos of the 787 passing by a field and all you can hear is the wind :)
@ImagineerJonas Did you know the Boein 747-81 only used the new fuel efficient GE-Nex-Gen B2 engines and because RR Trent Engines have a tedency to explode many airlines are demanding the RR engines be removed and replaced with American built GE-Nex-Gen B2 engines. RR Trent engines have a defect they have not discovered!
@aviomaster@aviomaster The A350-XWB-Delay-Liner will not be flying till 2017 because of the Eurotard Dumbfucks at Airbugs miscalculated how much actual power the A350 will need. Airfaggers went to GE to buy the Nex-Gen Engines but GE has an exclusivity contract and Airbus Bosnian Herzogoven Asshole are on GE's "Naughty List" for being typical Eurotards. So Airbus will have to spend 2 Billions dollars with RR to develop a new engine and delivery date 2017 t0 2019. Airbus are fuckups suck dick!
@aviomaster Not To Be Mean!! But The Reason Boeing Doesnt Sileince It Completely... Becase ALOT Of Passengers (including ME) Love The soft Roar Of the Engines
Now ,Now ! antinotis dont start on that exactly Boeing &717s,727s ,747s ,737s have dropped out the sky as you put it ? almost as reliable as the famous DC10s ,The latest Airbus to crash was due to poor maintinance as that specific aircraft was banned from European airspace ,most aircraft nowdays are build with safty in mind but accidents and machine breakdowns will always happen ,Thay are both good Aircraft .
Airbus pioneered the use of digital fly-by-wire on their A320 but NASA was the one that invented the system itself. They developed it a while back between 1960 through 1970. It was first tested on the modified F-8 Crusader.
Same with Boeing protesting over launch aid in form of credits to Airbus...there are simply just controversies.
I'm not taking any side here, both companies are best in the world...these conflicts are just different forms of the competition. That comment of mine was just a short explanation to those who had been misunderstanding the origin of the fly-by-wire system and nothing more.
@arsenium666 Boeing got $3B in tax breaks, all of which have been since eliminated while Airbus gets $20B in illegal funding. And the say they will continue with their unethical and illegal business practices. Explain that away arse.
AIRBUS A350-DELAY-LINER DELAYED UNTIL 2017, LOOK MA NO ENGINE
Boeing 787 & 747-8I strategy + timing will intercept massive airbus sales + cancellations. Airbus blows it again + their A350 is up the creek without a dependeble engine. GE gave Airbus A350 the "Next-Gen Kiss Of Death" sorry but Boeing exclusivity contract bar sales no to Airbus. As usual Airbus wants quality for cheap. RR says they can develop + build a new engine in 5 years but cannot guarantee it will not explode occasionally!
@arsenium666 Airbus does not invent any thing it copies + steals from Boeing. Fly by wire was invented in the USA for the USAF + NASA. Quit picking your dinglberries + wake up to the fact that an Airbus is piece of shit with 2 wings. Take a look at the A350,it l00ks like a Boeing-787. Your A350 is the new delay liner without engine + GE said no Nex-Gen engines for Airbus + RR says U have to build a new engine + for once Airbus will have to develop its own engine instead of stealing it from USA.
@LottoWinner999 Yeah, Yeah, Yeah! Full of shit as always. Dassault were experimenting with FBW in the mid '50s. and was used in Concorde in the late '60s. What Boeing aircraft did Concorde copy? The A300 preceded any wide bodied twin of Boeing's at a time when Boeing derided the concept. A320 was 1st DFBW civil airliner, the A330 preceded the 777 so quit talking crap on here. The 787 had the record of being the fastest selling model ever but at the same time the record for the longest delays
@BOACMach2 your wrong the A380 was not the 1ST Double-Decker. But Boeing always does it 1ST + the Boeing 377 Stratocruiser built in 1945 flew for Pan American in 1947. Its to bad U jerk off with the slightest excitement that U alone will prove Airbus invents every thing. Boeing has done every B4 Airbust + 17 more 747-8I sales went through + previous 747-8I + 747-8F sales brings the Boeing total to 133 sales. Than don't forget the 5 Air China + Boeing sold 100 B737's at PAS. Airbus will die.
@BOACMach2 New A350-Delay is delayed till 2017. Tsk tsk I told U no Nex-Gen-Engine for Airbus. AB had an easy ride using ready built USA Jet engines desinged for Boeing planes. A350 has no engine + AB will learn its expensive,1 billion Euros, time consuming,5 to 10 years to build a jet engine from scratch. AB tried to buy GE Nex-Gen-Engine that Boeing co-partnered, co-devloped + financed for 10 years. Its not for sale + AB has to really build a plane + engine cuz theres no nore free rides 4 AB!
2 months ago Lufthansa A380 had to shut down 1 of its four Trent 900 engines B4 landing at Frankfurt due to concerns about an explosion. Another Rolls-Royce powered A380 owned by Singapore Airlines turned back after leaving Paris in September last year because of a possible explosion. Qantas, Singapore Airlines and Lufthansa are the only operators of A380s powered by Trent 900 engine built by the British firm at its RR Auto factory in Derby!
@sloppiexx yeah sure :) u american ppl just cant tolerete when others are better than u !! it disgusting! airbuss are much better than airbus in they system of technology and of they designe!everybody know that!
@lauriersroses333 Fuking Christ don't you ever look at the comment date... While you're at it, double-check your comment before posting. It doesn't really make any sense.
@lauriersroses333 Not upset, learn how to type first before you confront someone at least :) I posted the comment 8 months ago. I don't really want to continue the conversation. Thanks.
@sloppiexx i know u posted the comment for 8 mths agoo, so what wrong to write some comment now?? seems u didnt get laid last night :) :) :) any way have a nice day
@sloppiexx and the nasa was develloped by german-brains stealed by the us gouvernement during and after the world war2 ! i just wanna remember u that in case u forget it!! to be exactly:it was 162 germans, they got the us.citizenship just after one year in the usa !!
agree! on September 6, 2011. an ANA 737 narrowly avoided a disaster.

A320 is much better than 737
A320 has much better safety records than 737 NG, mostly due to fly by wire
737 does not even have a door for the body gear, looks weird
737 NG is redesigned from 737 Classic which is redesigned from 737 Original from 1960s, so the 737 wings have low ground clearance since its originally designed to use low by-pass turbojets, so the new turbofan engines are too big to fit, so they're de-rated and has a weird Oval shape.
737 also has outdated nose design from 1950s 707

@EmadIV very true but as of right now though when they release the 737 max, even though it wont sell as well as the a320, the max is better. and you cant argue that until they reveltionize the a320.
figure261 1 month ago
@figure261 what? how can you know for sure it is better (not even gonna be better)? you don't know that, 737max is a desperate move from boeing to take some sales from the neo
juanjillocr 1 month ago
@juanjillocr desprate but better.........
figure261 1 month ago
@figure261 dude, you aint making any sense at all
juanjillocr 1 month ago
@juanjillocr your saying its a desprate move, yes it is, but inspite of the move they made the 737 max much better then the neo. the 737 is claiming that fuel burn per seat would be reduced by 10-12% with the 737-8 MAX achieving a 7% advantage in total cash ownership costs (per seat). and then you add on that the 737 looks better inside and out.I really dont care about sales, because we all know who has the better plane as of right now, there both very good planes indeed, but the max wins.
figure261 1 month ago
@figure261 don't be ignorant 1-MAX is a paper airplane, there's no "made" in something is just a project 2-the fuel efficient is all about the engines, not the plane per se. Are those super fuel efficient engines made yet? no, neo's just came outta the oven 3-by the time MAX comes out it would burn 3-4% less than the NEO, which is good but not great 4- better interior? how would you know that if you haven't seen it? you see? you're full of bullshit
juanjillocr 1 month ago
@juanjillocr dude there keeping the neo interior the same! same old shit, the boeing 737 always had something better then the neo, and still will when they realese the max!, like can you see that its time for a change for the a320, there complaining that the techonloalgy isnt here, yet look at the a350 why cant they put that interior in the a320! but in my opion both companies have something that the other one dosent, and i also think that both are wasteing potential cuz they can do alot more.
figure261 1 month ago
@figure261 Well man, I dont get you when you say "the interior is the same" I mean, how is it gonna look like? You mean seats, lcd, touch screen, lights? You can sure have that inside the A320, any of them, specially the NEO, same with Boeings. That's an airlines call... and the XWB is a lot more expensive than the a320, that includes cabin however, do your research, a320s cabin is one of the greatest cabins. It isnt old tech, they keep on changing what needs to be change
juanjillocr 1 month ago
@juanjillocr what i find is each company keeps waiting until the other company make s a move just like how airbus released the neo, boeing was quick to bring out the max, boeing made a dreamliner, airbus made a350...to me its all a game, but i wish that they would put some origanality into these planes! the futre is now, to me its pathectic when they say oh we changed mode lighting and piviot bins, like what happened to aviation, it hasnt changed scince the past 54 years.
figure261 1 month ago
@figure261 well, its all about comfort since they cant make engines burn less fuel (not as much as they'd like), and u know... i hate flaying those old 737, or the 757 even the 767... they're way to uncomfortable, with the new 747-8 and the 787 that's changed. you pay a lot of money for a ticket, the least u expect is that the airplane is comfty inside, right? and on the other hand, is all about safety dude, the modern the plane, the safer they are... they both are doing great at that
juanjillocr 1 month ago
@juanjillocr yes they are doing amazing in that i agree but i just dont think that it will take fifty years for the futuer to come.

if this is used to target the 787, whats the 380 for?? im confused
CaptainFelixTan1 6 months ago
@CaptainFelixTan1
It's not "targeted" at the 787, but a replacement for the A330 and A340 and a direct competitor to the 777. A380 is in a totally different class, way bigger than the 747.
blablubb12345 5 months ago
@blablubb12345 thanks!
CaptainFelixTan1 5 months ago
@CaptainFelixTan1 The a380 does not target or compete with the 787 at all. That is just media spin. The a380 obviously targets the market of the 747.

Love the large passenger windows......hope that lovely feature makes it to the final design and not the typical little Airbus windows
coolspindrift 6 months ago
In last month's Paris Airshow Airbus booked more than 500 orders in the most categories from the 319 to the 320 neo all the way to the A380. Boeing had to admit miscalculations in their re-engining of th B737. So all those foul-mouthed, primitive, and intellectually challenged punters (mostly redneck americans) can say all they want to denigrate Airbus. This however does not change the fact that Airbus Industries is ahead of Boeing.
hommedterre 7 months ago
@hommedterre lol leave it to the deranged airbus fanatic to think airbus is actually ahead of Boeing when they're years behind
AdverbAdjective 5 months ago
@AdverbAdjective you obviously are not in the airline industry because otherwise it would be you who is really deranged. Poor misguided American who still thinks their country is the greatest when it actually is in economic ruin.
hommedterre 5 months ago
@hommedterre lol go back to rioting in the street. where's the british version of youtube? oh that's right, just like everything else, there isn't one. it's so sad that airbus has to copy everything Boeing does, and you wonder why Boeing is always outperforming them
AdverbAdjective 5 months ago
@AdverbAdjective Really? Can I ask why Boeing 777 was designed with fly-by-wire after Airbus flew A320 several times? Why Boeing still can't create a new narrowbody as they promised? Why Boeing need 737 MAX while they claim a new aircraft can beat A320 Neo out of the skies. Why airlines complained that Boeing always refer to their engineers suggestion instead listen to them at first when A320 NEO is coming.
CYKind900 4 months ago 8
@CYKind900 Even though im not the person that your replying to ill answer your questions. B777 was designed with it so it can go against the A330/A340. Possibly the A350. Boeing is planning a new narrow body possibly a twin aisle jet for the replacement of the 737 . As for the 737MAX Boeing needs something to compete with the A320NEO. Airlines complaining ?. that is false.
ikolkyo967 3 months ago
@ikolkyo967 When Boeing declare a new narrow body project, they "Actual" said Airbus strategy was destined to fail, Boo Hoo. To boost confident about new planes, engineers created delicious rumors for airlines to gulp. Until NEO shows up, leaving Boeing speechless thus declare the project scrapped. Today, Boeing still doesn't provide accurate specification for 737 MAX and the diameter of new engine still unknown. Airlines complaining? False? Duh... ask Ryanair, they are one of the experts
CYKind900 3 months ago
@CYKind900 The Engine diameter is either going to be 68in if go on Boeing's site. Airline complaining is False. If they are how come they have 306 737-800's . Ryan air took down Airbus's offer and reopen negotiations with Boeing. as for the 737MAX. Right now they are up to 600. 700 orders according to Boeing's website. They Announced the 737MAX in August and they have already almost at the amount of orders as the NEO. 737MAX is going to surpass the NEO just like the NG is doing right now.
ikolkyo967 3 months ago
@ikolkyo967 So an airline that has many Boeing aircraft in their inventory doesn't complain? If you read news from Flightglobal or Aviationweek, you would have been notice that Ryanair is about to switch option with cheaper Comac 919. You're blinded by Boeing advertise. If 737 MAX doing well than Airbus, why the team doesn't make up some pace in Paris AirShow? If they missed the chance, other Airshow are available to catch up. Still, NEO has 1000 and more orders, but those number didn't stay.
CYKind900 3 months ago
@CYKind900 Ryan air would be stupid to use a China made plane. What does the PAris airshow have to do with this. ?737MAX is catching up in orders its at about 600 700 orders According to Boeing's website. and they Announced it in August total Domination. My opinion Boeing will kick ass. your opinion is Airbus . we have our diffrences.
ikolkyo967 3 months ago
@ikolkyo967 In economic downturn period, Paris and other AirShow is a boost for coming slowed down market. Boeing was desperate and asking Delta and some of their loyalties to fund the re-engine project. A desperate move and a tragic end of new narrow body frame. By the way, Ryanair was planning to cancel the remain of orders. Embraer was also on the table for price discussion. Conclusion, it the fading of Boeing crown.

@BOACMach2 Hey your Neos are going to CFM + Pratt Whitney engines made in the good ole USA + big bucks for American workers. Airbus cannot build a safe, descent jet engine which is the hallmark of real avaition expertise standadized Boeing. AIRBUS A380 TO CANCELLED

Cant wait for the federal aviation agency to aproove the 787 for commerical travel!!
chrissyboy129 1 year ago
@chrissyboy129 gotta correct you, boeing planes have a higher number of crashes and accidents
dukeofstradone 1 year ago
@dukeofstradone They do indeed have more accidents, but only because they've been around a lot longer. You need to look at the total fatalities divided by the number of passenger miles flown to get an accurate indication of the safety of an airplane. By this measure Boeings are very safe aircraft.
zapster53 11 months ago
@chrissyboy129 Your data re Airbus crashes is incorrect. Broadly speaking, each manufacturer is as safe as the other, Boeing's own database proves that. Better to research before you make such throwaway comments. It undermines your case, if you get my meaning.

BOEING SLAMS AIRBUS! BOEING NUMBER 1

@guitarplayerforu actually A380 is the most efficient airliner in service today.
whitireia 1 year ago
@whitireia hey have u heard tthat all quantas A380'S have been suspended due to a engine falling to bits whilst in flight? he had to make an emergency landing but got down safe, apparently from people who was on that flight said it was the most frightening experience of their life's, and they said sum of the metal went straight through the wing, Airbus need to rethink how their going to make the a380 ultra safe, you never get an engine falling to bits on a Boeing airplane, the 747 is safer.
guitarplayerforu 1 year ago
@guitarplayerforu I think you got your wires crossed.
The A380 entry hasn't been too bad...
whitireia 1 year ago

The A350's panoramic windows are the widest in the industry (in which I don't know how wide will it be), while the 787 is having 19" tall which makes it the tallest in the industry. The 19" tall windows on the 787 are good but I still think panoramic windows are the BEST which will be available on the A350 bringing more natural light other than beautiful vistas.
jewelshare 1 year ago
@jewelshare the new Boeing 787's windows will revolutionise things for passengers, u just can touch a button and the windows would dim instead of completely blocking the light out with window shades!
guitarplayerforu 1 year ago
Both Airbus and Boeing are good. Whats the problem. A380 is heavy duty. B787 is agile. They are both excellent aircraft.
G777GUN 1 year ago 2
I love this plane, because it's going to kill off both the B777 AND 787
TheMarkOfTheBeast1 2 years ago 7
@TheMarkOfTheBeast1 not at all! The 777 does longer flights than this, so its like saying the 380 will kill off the 737. It wont kill off the 787, because they are both excellent aircraft, and both are widely desired by airlines.
vroomba03 1 year ago
@TheMarkOfTheBeast1 the A350-Delay-Liner represents how stupid Airbus is considering A350 does not have an engine + Eurotards at RR say their going to have to design, develop + build a new engine. Of course this delays the A350 until 2017 if there lucky? U should remember that the Airbus is piece of shit with two wings. Also GE turned down Airbus for the Nex-Gen Engines because of Boeings exclusivity contract and the A380 is two years behind and 6 billion dollars in the hole + will be cancelled!

AIRBUS is quiter than Boeing ,,,
aviomaster 2 years ago 30
@aviomaster yes much quiter, i rided 747 and 777 several times and last june i flow from london to dubai with emirates a380, i couldnt hear the engines at all, so quiet and comfortable!that what make boeing see RED !! they just can not accept that other country are better than them (usa) it realy disgusting

@aviomaster your retarded there is a thing called different engines
Aviationnation10 8 months ago
@aviomaster you are so fucking retarded.... The new Boeing 787 and 747-800i are using a unique rolls royce engine system that distributes air than using more engine power. If you look a Boeing videos they have videos of the 787 passing by a field and all you can hear is the wind :)
ImagineerJonas 8 months ago
@ImagineerJonas The A350 will also be using rolls royce engines that are slightly more advanced and thus quieter than the Trent 1000's
aspiringdrummer17 8 months ago
@ImagineerJonas Did you know the Boein 747-81 only used the new fuel efficient GE-Nex-Gen B2 engines and because RR Trent Engines have a tedency to explode many airlines are demanding the RR engines be removed and replaced with American built GE-Nex-Gen B2 engines. RR Trent engines have a defect they have not discovered!
LottoWinner999 8 months ago
@aviomaster @aviomaster The A350-XWB-Delay-Liner will not be flying till 2017 because of the Eurotard Dumbfucks at Airbugs miscalculated how much actual power the A350 will need.

Now ,Now ! antinotis dont start on that exactly Boeing &717s,727s ,747s ,737s have dropped out the sky as you put it ? almost as reliable as the famous DC10s ,The latest Airbus to crash was due to poor maintinance as that specific aircraft was banned from European airspace ,most aircraft nowdays are build with safty in mind but accidents and machine breakdowns will always happen ,Thay are both good Aircraft .

Airbus pioneered the use of digital fly-by-wire on their A320 but NASA was the one that invented the system itself. They developed it a while back between 1960 through 1970. It was first tested on the modified F-8 Crusader.
sloppiexx 2 years ago
Yeah NASA developes a lot with US TAX PAYERS MONEY, then transfers that technology to BOEING with NO COSTS...
Boeing shut your fucking mouth talking about subsidies...LOL
arsenium666 2 years ago 6
Same with Boeing protesting over launch aid in form of credits to Airbus...there are simply just controversies.
I'm not taking any side here, both companies are best in the world...these conflicts are just different forms of the competition. That comment of mine was just a short explanation to those who had been misunderstanding the origin of the fly-by-wire system and nothing more.
Sorry if I offended you in any way.
sloppiexx 2 years ago

LottoWinner999 8 months ago
@arsenium666 Airbus does not invent any thing it copies + steals from Boeing. Fly by wire was invented in the USA for the USAF + NASA. Quit picking your dinglberries + wake up to the fact that an Airbus is piece of shit with 2 wings. Take a look at the A350,it l00ks like a Boeing-787. Your A350 is the new delay liner without engine + GE said no Nex-Gen engines for Airbus + RR says U have to build a new engine + for once Airbus will have to develop its own engine instead of stealing it from USA.
LottoWinner999 8 months ago
@LottoWinner999 Yeah, Yeah, Yeah! Full of shit as always. Dassault were experimenting with FBW in the mid '50s. and was used in Concorde in the late '60s. What Boeing aircraft did Concorde copy? The A300 preceded any wide bodied twin of Boeing's at a time when Boeing derided the concept. A320 was 1st DFBW civil airliner, the A330 preceded the 777 so quit talking crap on here. The 787 had the record of being the fastest selling model ever but at the same time the record for the longest delays
BOACMach2 8 months ago
LottoWinner999 8 months ago

HOW DANGEROUS ARE RR EXPLODING TRENTS ENGINES
2 months ago Lufthansa A380 had to shut down 1 of its four Trent 900 engines B4 landing at Frankfurt due to concerns about an explosion. Another Rolls-Royce powered A380 owned by Singapore Airlines turned back after leaving Paris in September last year because of a possible explosion. Qantas, Singapore Airlines and Lufthansa are the only operators of A380s powered by Trent 900 engine built by the British firm at its RR Auto factory in Derby!
