LOL This was so helpful! What was I thinking? I can now throw out this fancy thick branch I found in my back yard ....(which I also spray painted white).... throw out the few xtra brackets I had around the house from a broken rod I had.... Go out and buy dowel rods and drawer handles ....man and I thought I'd be saving $ by recycling what I had around the house...But if I don't do it my way face it I mine as well buy a whole curtain rod than pay for dowel rods and drawer handles (sarcasm)

How did you get the screws into the end of the dowel rods. they don't come that way.
