  • Buy an odyssey. U get what u pay for!!!!!!

  • What is the law suit for I am having the same door problems and have had it in three times and now the warrenty is over so they won't fix it.

  • see i even broke a nail what are u gay wooowwwww

  • This is what happens when you buy crappy S. Korean. Should've gone with the Sienna or the Odyssey. Been a bit more expensive but worth the cost.

  • Thats what happens when you buy foreign!

  • Safest minivan on the planet, yeah really.... :/

  • The more "gadgets" and "conveniences" you have on a vehicle, the more can go wrong. Anything mechanical or electrical can and often have bugs. Nothing is perfect or stays perfect. Welcome to the real world. I have a friend who bought a BMW which turned out to be a lemon. He fought with the dealership and after one year got himself a new one. He went through hell to get it.

  • Why did you buy a van and keep on hatin it? You should have test drove it first and read reviews before you buy. And now your complaining that your car sucks and malfunctions but everything is life isn't perfect

  • lazy people cant even open the door.....

  • seems like a sensor problem to me its not realizing the door was closed and the motor kept going until it finally opened again.

  • Why buy that car in the first place?

  • No you're not crazy, you're lazy...

  • Sell the car, my recommendation.

  • This is happening to everyone that I know with an entourage. Everyone needs to call hyundai to lodge a complaint at 800-633-5151 and demand that they recall this vehicle. Then, call the Better business bureau auto division 800-955-5100 and do the same thing. That is the only way you can get your money back for the repairs.

  • My mom had a problem with our Entourage, when we would open the door and tried to close it, it would just ope back up a little bit and then the chimer thing would go off. Or the door would close all the way and just oppen right back up. We brought it back to the dealership and they fixed it and we havn't had a problem with it since.

  • Why can't you just move it by hand??

  • So I was told by the dealer that in order to prevent the doors to slide or not slide randomly. I have to press the power button every time I use the door. I think that is bs, but they don't seem to want to do anything about. The other day the doors were stuck so I had to climb into the back from the front and pull my babies out from the front seat/ doors. What if there were an accident and they could not get the doors open automatically or manually? Scary thought.

  • btw...you breaking a nail was your fault :)

  • You got a lemon...my van sliding door has been working perfectly fine..had it in the shop once...but been fine since...been almost 1 year and a half since then...

  • We got rid of the van (finally) after almost 2 years of fighting with Hyundai. They bought back the car PLUS refunded what had been paid on the loan.

It is a very good thing they discontinued this POS van.

  • man I was just checking back to see if there were any updates. Ours is at the dealer right now with a Hyundai engineer looking at it, we now have 58,000 miles though so I am sure they won't buy it back thought I wish. The front end of our is crap, it shakes and clinks when hitting bumps. The idea of the van was great just not it's function.

  • hyundai discontinued the entourage i guess they caught shit from lots of people about it. now there is only the kia sedona.

  • My 08 does the same thing. Not only that but sometimes the door won't open at all manually or not. This is really hard when I'm trying to get my twin infants in and out of the car and only one door will open. We should all start some sort of class action law suit. Also my TPMS light is always on. I would do anything to get them to take their stupid van back. No wonder they stopped making it.

  • We had this problem in the beginning. Did you check to see if anything is jammed in where the belt runs? My kids dropped papers, bits of candy etc, that got caught in where the belt runs. This caused the door to beep and open at times. Once I cleard the mess the kids made, we've never had a problem again.

  • OMG! We're having the EXACT same issue, sounds and all! As I type our Hyundai is in the shop for this problem. The service center just called and said they couldn't duplicate the problem. I don't know how that's even possible since it does it 9 out of 10 times we close our door. I will send them this video and duplicate it on the spot if I must. Let's hope they resolve this without issue%~\

  • Isn't this what the huge warranty is for?!

  • yes over and over and over and over and over lol. Ours has been in literally once a month for over a year now that we have owned it!

  • If you aren't exaggerating, than this is what the lemon laws are for. . .

  • No exaggeration here, it is currently at the dealer 130 miles away and they are going to keep it for a week because they cannot figure out what the problem is.

  • Cheap ass shoulda baught a Honda!!

  • yo people coll it he can't help the fact that hyundai can not sell a great working car so back off and maybe try having a car that does not work properly. someone can get hurt.

  • Hey! i got an idea! why dont you turn off the power doors and open/close them manualy, like the old days! till you get it fixed!

  • GEt it fixed man...what's the problem?

  • Okay, so you have to manually close a door. What's wrong with that!? Your throwing a fit about something that you keep beating on, way to make it work better. This has been an issue on almost any vehicle with power sliding doors or power hatches. Get one with real doors. I had to watch it a few times to enjoy the fit. From my experience with cars, Hyundai is great have owned 3 no problems. Hated the Dodge, Ford, Chevy, Honda, and Nissan experience. Yuck. Never again!

  • We had the same problem with a GM minivan.

  • yeah. same problem with the Kia Grand Carnival

  • I worked for Hyundai for 4 and a half years as a Service Advisor. The Entourage was by far the worst vehicle I had seen (the Vera Cruz and XG 350 had their issues too!). The door shutting / opening issue is pretty common on these, replacing the door latches would usually solve the issue. It wasn't uncommon for owners to report the sliding doors opening by themselves while driving. The Entourage had too many (cheap) bells and whistles and is heavily based on the Kia Sedona - caveat emptor!!!!

  • I've got a 2008 Entourage, and have had zero problems. I also own a 2003 Sonata and that car drives as well as the day I bought it. I did have a similar power door issue as above on a Pontiac Montana, now if you want to talk about a piece of crap car, that's one.

  • Shoulda' bought a Honda! :)

  • Your going to run the battery down.

  • I'll let my boyfriend know about your suit too. Hyundai seems to think that we don't know what we are talking about. Obviously we do.

Maybe enough lawsuits will be enough for them to do a freaking recall.

  • Well for us it's back to the dealer in the morning "Friday". Our power door locks will not stay locked, the air bag light came on and as well as a tire pressure sensor, oh yeah and the ignition still thinks the key is in it when it's not. We have contacted a lawyer also and waiting to hear from them, they say that we have a case so......we will see what happens. Our issue is we did not buy it new. It had 29,000 miles when we purchased it. Been in the shop Monthly since January '08 Keep in touch

  • my parents own one with the power doors and they had the same problem it was even worse than yours gooddogsasha what they did was try it manually and then do it with power and it worked

  • We have the power door option off on our van now. No point in even using the option if it doesn't work right!

  • will do

  • We have the same van and color and the same exact problem. They fixed it once for us and then a couple of days later back to the same issue. We have a ton of issues with our Entourage, as a matter of fact as I type this we are without a vehicle because we had to have it towed to the dealership in Carson City, NV. Are you still having this issue? Take care

  • Yes, in fact we are STILL having this issue. We are actually involved in legal action now with Hyundai regarding this-- the door actually closed on my boyfriend's son's hand and Hyundai said there wasn't anything wrong with the doors. Whatever.

Please keep in touch- would love to hear from other people with the same issues.
