Just because it is a book written by Tolkien, along with "The Hobbit" and "The Lord of the Rings" trilogy, does not mean it has to be made by the same people who are making "The Hobbit" movie(Sir Peter Jackson). It's open for direction/production by anybody willing to take on such a project.

yah its gonne be huge! i mean whe shouldnt expect to much.its a big book with lot of detail and you cant put everything in the movie (same was with lord of the rings) but this time it will be 2 movie parts for one book.but man cant wait. the 3 trolls,the journey through the misty montains,the woodland realm and the elven city!,smaug,the huge dwarf city and the treasure and the epic battle! damn i gotta read the book again,its been so long.gotta be prepaired for the movie
