Yes books are an awful lot better. I just wish that they went by it. There is most likely going to be a 2nd movie, but you never know. They didn't do it with The Series of Unfortunate Events. It's been about two, maybe three years now?

In a Jason-type situation, Alex would find a way out, or find out what the bad guy is doing. Better Spy: Alex, Better Fighter: Jason. :P didn't really answer the question though. I would choose Alex, mainly because he doesn't think and does the right thing on instinct. In the books Jason had to calculate and think about stuff :P
