This way is definitely faster but you need to jump far enough to hit the second boost on landing. It's also possible to jump on lap 2 & 3, but harder ;)

You mean jumping from the top of the hill to the beginning of the loop? You do an MT and jump with good timing. It's pretty difficult to do it like this, but you can use your mushroom there and it will be easier ;)
