@MW32012 in the game it says that before adam and eve were made that there were roman gods such as jupiter and minerva (the one who speaks to you at the end of the game). they lived in a place called eden and used the apple to keep peace and harmony through out it. since they were in such a state, they had very advanced technology hence the modern building and the weird glows inside of their bodies. A solar flare came and destroyed eden because they took the apple.

I haven't beaten the game quite yet but I'm confused... so its not too much of a spoiler. This story is starting to make metal gear story line look like children's books.
I just beat assassins creed 2, really fun game.the story is nuts ..and this confuses me -_- i need only a handful of achievements for all of them.. Cant wait for 3
whoever thinks that is Desmonds ancestor speaking before adam and eve turn around, you are wrong. that would be Subject 16's ancestor. cuz in case you forgot, that is a video that came from Subject 16 that was installed into the core of the animus. Desmond just found the parts of the video to put together. why else do you think you hear Subject 16 talking when you go to decode it? Its all from Subject 16. if you payed attention, you would know that.
also when they look through the window, if you pause the video just after they look in, the person holding the apple looks a lot like minerva, didnt notice till i paused it.

I personally believe my theory in which Desmond and subject 16 aren't related to Adam and Eve, at no point has it ever said they are. It really fascinates me how Ubisoft comes up with all of this. There's so much detail in this game, so many secrets and theories that actually make you stop and think about it all, whether you're religious or not. The binary code at the end is particularly interesting. I'm not gonna lie, Assassin's Creed has even encouraged me to research history and religion of that time period. I know it's fiction, but it's more than just a game.

And it would make sense that that's a continuation of this, because maybe God knew that if Eve got the Apple, bad things would happen, humankind would be enslaved, then start a rebellion, thus the war between Templars and Assassins, Adam and Eve being the first Assassins and Minerva being the first Templar, and therefore proving that Templars want enslavement and Assassins want freedom.

whoever thinks that is Desmonds ancestor speaking before adam and eve turn around, you are wrong. that would be Subject 16's ancestor. cuz in case you forgot, that is a video that came from Subject 16 that was installed into the core of the animus. I personally believe my theory in which Desmond and subject 16 aren't related to Adam and Eve, at no point has it ever said they are. With this in mind I believe they are related to the Third person seen running in the video, that's why he sounds like Desmond and you can see the memory in the first place. And to explain the clip I think the last two scenes are not in order I believe that Eve said look out then a Flying thing/Creature took him away and that's when you see that long distance shot.

It really fascinates me how Ubisoft comes up with all of this. There's so much detail in this game, so many secrets and theories that actually make you stop and think about it all, whether you're religious or not. The binary code at the end is particularly interesting. I'm not gonna lie, Assassin's Creed has even encouraged me to research history and religion of that time period. I know it's fiction, but it's more than just a game.

And it would make sense that that's a continuation of this, because maybe God knew that if Eve got the Apple, bad things would happen, humankind would be enslaved, then start a rebellion, thus the war between Templars and Assassins, Adam and Eve being the first Assassins and Minerva being the first Templar, and therefore proving that Templars want enslavement and Assassins want freedom.
