@paktheking1 Because the town is dangerous. And I suppose she knows he isn't. The novelization of the game makes a bit more sense though, because instead of giving him her gun she keeps hers and just pulls one out from under the cash register (that the owner had for security purposes).

Interesting..are you playing the game from CD on your PS3?

I have both the original and the digital download version (via psn europe - I live in the UK). When I play from the CD there is alot of distortion in the sound...just like you have in this video. For instance, the eerieee 'pad sound' sounds horribly distorted and lofi (almost like 8 bit). In the digital download version the sound plays perfectly.

Some of the old PS1 games are not 100% compatible it seems :(

@KayciBlend FAIL The movie changed the plot big time. Seriously look on the underpass Rose goes through at the beginning, Cheryl is graffitied on there. Also FAIL they used nearly all the wrong monsters in the movie and left some plot holes a kid was able to point out. Like why was Cybil took into the fog world in the movie. In the game its explained she went there to find out why Brahms police lost contact with SH police. Also the movie mispelt names.

Why would you pay £10 to watch the same thing you just did on the PS1? Mind you no one expects a different story with books, there are massive criticisms if a movie makes any big changes to a book storyline. With SH I personally would have liked to see either the same story (minor changes ok) cos the story was great but it lacked in graphics, or a completely new story like the RE movies. I'm more worried bout the next 1

@KayciBlend The movie also fails because of why you have Rose and Chris instead of just Harry (his wife is deceased, an important plot point as this is why his daughter is so precious he'll fight what he does). They made Harry into Rose because the guys making it said his actions were 'feminine'. Geez, he's a good father so he's labelled feminine! THIS IS SUPPOSED TO BE A PROGRESSIVE SOCIETY!! Many of the monsters, all but 2, have no genuine logic here as they were designed for SH2.

I agree with you, Chatrin. Even to this day, Silent Hill 1 still scares me half to the death, mainly our version [UK Version]. Nothing can replace nor remake the scary nor jumping out of your skin moments of this classic game. And I agree, it wasn't scary really. The game really was disturbing and if they followed that more it would have probably been more scary in that way. But I still think its the best video game adaptation yet.
