@Newscholar It's not about sensitivity, or if this hurts people's feelings, it's about re-enforcing this stereotypical image of homosexuality. The reason this is bad, is simply because it will keep the idea that all (or most) of us are flaming queens alive, just like using the word "gay" in a derogatory sense will keep the idea alive that homosexuality is something to be ashamed of.

Besides, would you find it okay if this showed a big-nosed Jew haggling, or a black guy stealing?

@Toungester whether it enforces a steryotype or not is beyond the point. Some gays ARE like that. And I do not believe that it portrayed them in a derogatory to any mentionable degree. And besides, if it is anybody's fault that that's the image related to the gay community, perhaps it's the fault of the gay community for other types of gays not being as open about their sexuality in the first place.
