  • 7 people think someone stole their answering machine messages.

  • they would have been 95 but their dead!

  • LOL These guys are fucking awesome. No script required with LD

  • - he doesnt have a wife and his parents are dead!

    - thats right!

  • That is definetly the best scene in the entire series... took me several minutes to stop laughing! hahahahaha

  • What are you, nuts?

  • Larry and Richard have the best scenes.

  • Larry David is a person who was lucid 24 hours a day his whole life? lol

  • "You've taken everything the wrong way.. since I've known you" haha such a broad generalization to start off the convo

  • god lewis so different now. I hope he can give me two more seasons.

  • FORGET PARIS! lmao

  • Pretty good. Pretty, pretty, pretty, pretty good.

  • I'll be the man. I'll be the man.

  • "IT'S NOT" 0:57

  • I know what the message is.

For my birthday I recieved the offical 'Curb Your Enthusiasm' Book which is immense. It explains each and every episode, showing the outline for a scene in that episode followed by what was said on camera and also the ideas behind the episode. Larry's friend had a answering machine greeting that Larry loved which said: "Hello...your screened call is very important to me. Please leave a message after the tone". (For English people, a screened call is an ignored call)

  • i didnt steal your message,Asshole! hahaha

  • "ohhh he doesn't have a wife and his parents are dead"..."They would have been 95, but they're dead..."

  • FORGET PARIS!

  • "I'm a big expensive man". Epic.

  • @reconjac Expansive*

  • Love the expression on his face at 0:16 -

  • @ben13rown so subtle, but so great.

  • @rebirthoftheflesh subtle? lol...

maybe for 5 seconds of dialog in the whole conversation.

  • FUNNY AS FUCK

  • His parents are dead

  • what season is this from?

  • @SoSayGoodbye1 Season one.

  • @nofx6678 No it's season 2, The Baptism

  • i love larry sooo much God if i could just marry him oh man id die right then in pure bliss he is hilarious!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • "i didnt steal you message... asshole" gets me everytime

  • "are you crazy? Are you nuts?"

  • And why the world hate jewish people so much ? They are so funny.

  • Actually what's pissing me off is I know this message and I wrote it in 1978 in New Jersey when Larry David could't even get arrested. But I'm not bitter.

  • 'Someone who was lucid 24 hours a day' Miserable ... but totally lucid.

  • every time i see the movie "forget paris" i think about this scene!!!

  • It's the pettiness and egotism of it all. Do you think that God looks down on human kind and laughs like were laughing at these guys?

  • This is one of the funniest things I've ever seen. Love Curb.

  • gotta luv jewish humor

  • @soulstice99 only jewish humor?

  • What happened to the video where Richard Lewis complains that Larry was rude to his girlfriend? That one was funny as hell.

  • Am I the only one who really wants to hear this message?

  • Great piece

  • I get my shirts at Ben Ladens

  • If I ever go to New York or California and I DON'T overhear two Jews bitching at each other over something totally petty through an open 1st floor window I'm demanding my vacation money back from the Tourist Authority.

  • Is Forget Paris a reference to "Casablanca"?

  • Forget Paris is from a movie, but it's also to make fun.

  • is 'forget paris' a line from some movie?

  • @mapwa It's the name of a movie with Billy Crystal.

  • Oh you don't have a wife and your parents are dead! Without a doubt the funniest moment in Curb your Enthusiasm (next to Susie's 'bring me the doll head' speech) :D

  • 1:35 - I didn't steal your message, A&# HOLE!!!!

  • hahahah 1:05 unfuckinreal... laughed so hard

  • FORGET PARIS

  • I'll be 22 until September -- so how long will the "my parents are dead" thing work?

  • "They would have been like 95 but they're dead"

  • "Forget Paris..." hahaha when LD says that he could just care less about the serious tone Lewis began the conversation with

  • I didn't steal your message...

    ....ASShole.

  • Richard Lewis will be on The Bob Rivers Show today, June 15, at 7:35 AM Pacific Time. Tune into KZOK 102.5 FM Seattle or stream audio and video at bobrivers[dot]com

  • "He doesn't have a wife...and his parents are DEAD" Lol.

  • 'At least its an admisssion of guilt...' What a weasel.

  • 1:10 to 1:35 is just so hilarious :D This scene and the one in the first episode with Larry and Richard:

RL: You better call me by sundown

LD: By sundown..? what.. are you Gary Cooper?

  • אני כן שונא את עצמי, אבל העובדה שאני יהודי זו לא קשורה-לארי דייוויד

  • lol, a show based on pointless arguing is so jokes it works so damn well, the core of comedy

  • When Larry said "Forget Paris" it looks like he did it to cut richard lewis's line short. Too much explanation, just get to the point.

  • I can't find my favorite scene, when Richard tells Larry he has until sundown. I can't even remember what they were arguing about, but Richard gives Larry until sundown. Someone help me, please! Where is that clip?!

  • This scene is probably one of the best in the entire show.

  • I love watching these guys trying not to laugh:)

  • "FORGET PARIS!"

  • larry and richard always equal comedy gold!

  • forget paris

  • Lewis is the world's oldest living orphan.

  • "Who's memory are you gonna trust? An ex-alcoholic's or a person who's been lucid 24 hours a day his whole life?"

  • hahaahahahahahahaah "my parents are dead" hahahahahaha...i love richard fuckin lewis wow.

  • richard's rationale is so brilliant "MY PARENTS ARE DEAD!!" can't argue with that logic!

  • i can't believe they're the same age.

  • Who do you think looks older?

  • @MrFrozenCanuck Larry.

  • Haha Richard's trying not to crack up at 1:39.

  • Larry David is God

  • "Oh God, I hate doing this because, you know, you always take it the wrong way. You've taken everything the wrong way ever since I've known you."

I love the history between these two.

  • i knw one of the highlight of dis show

    and larrry and leon offcourse

  • hahah love the "Forget Paris"

  • i didn't steal your message.....asshole

  • "they would've been 95, but they're dead.." lol

  • Richard Lewis is 3 days older than Larry David.

  • i think richard is really laughing in this scene

  • a great series finale would be if richard beats the shit out of larry, takes a dump on larrys head, then has sex with cheryl in front of him.....

  • Forget Paris!

  • wow great improvisation - gives it an energy it couldnt otherwise have.

  • lol this is probably my favorite episode.

"if this was your ticket it would say "fucking douche bag""

  • yeah haha thats so funny and the ending is such a classic curb moment "i found these tickets, but er i couldnt get through on the phone... i guess you guys dont have a machine?" PAHAHA!

  • have you ever noticed how Richard Lewis NEVER mentions Larry giving him his kidney in the new season --it's like it never happened and he's still such an asshole to Larry.

  • have you ever noticed this was before season 5?

  • Have you noticed he said "in the new season"?

    Obviously not.

    Dolt.

  • shut your fuckin mouth you whore

  • u mad~

  • Love them both!

  • Hahahahaha it only gets worse for Larry in this episode after this.

  • "I'm a big man. I'm a big expansive man. You're a small petty man!"

    Such a good putdown. :D

  • Best Richard/Larry moment ever

  • haha, I agree...Best Richard/Larry moment ever

  • richard lewis and larry have the most hilarious exchanges

  • yeah you could see they were cracking up the whole time

  • My parents are dead, they would have been 95, but there dead. That's so funny...

  • "Forget Paris !!" Dude look at his facial expression. :-)

  • ......and they would've been 95, but they're deeeeeead.....

  • 1:36 - I didn't steal your message...asshole!!! Great line!

  • first words out of his mouth: FORGET PARIS

    great

  • haha EPIC

  • He doesn't have a wife and his parents are dead. lol

  • cause he doesnt have and his parents are dead

  • trenchant insight there apanzo

  • wow why did i do that, i dont even remember that

  • but i did learn a new word, thank you southonator, it wasnt all in vain. maybe one day i will be as sharp-witted as you

  • "He doesn't have a wife..." and "I'm a big, expansive man..." are my current favorite impressions to do when I am alone in elevators.

  • Charming.

  • one of the best moments in the series.

    lmao

  • My single favorite scene from the series.

  • any one know what this episode is called???

  • the baptism - i think

  • This dude is worth over $500,000,000; no doubt Larry is a big man.

  • "i'll be the man"

  • I've seen every episode. This is the best scene.

  • "I didn't steal your outgoing message. Asshole!!"

  • Forget Paris!

  • What is the message? I want to know what 30- second message is so great that they have this huge argument? Its gotta be funny as heck, right?! I mean - if both LD and RL are fighting over this funny message they created 7 years ago in paris - it has to be classic! I guess I'm the only dying to know such a minuscule detail.

  • If you read Curb Your Enthusiasm: The Book, there's something there about it. One of LD's friends had an outgoing message that said something to the effect of: "Hi, this is So-and-So. Your screened phone message is very important to me." And then later, LD asked the guy if he could use it in the show, but he never ended up putting it in. Either way, this scene is classic.

  • "cause people call and say oh larry david has the same message"

Its not fuckin Larry Davids its mine!!

    lol

  • Lewis:

You know in stand-up, when we hate people stealing our jokes.

Well, I hate it when people fucking steal my outgoing messages...

    ------

    Classic!

  • Forget Paris!! damn that shit is funny

  • i like the scene where they're both in the shrinks lobby

  • lol jews

  • Lewis looks real ill . He is a shadow of how he used to look .

  • Lewis admitted on the Howard Stern Show that he's off drugs.

  • Lol Larry's such a dick in this clip =D

  • Love it

  • do they even say whats on the message?

  • I didn't steal your message ... ASSHOLE

  • Of who?

  • This is CLASSIC!

  • lol too funny

  • this is so me and my friend Alana. I am Larry and she is Richard

  • hahahahahahah

  • he doesnt have a wife and his parents are dead

  • hbo is this only shows option. with out fuck it wouldnt be as funny

  • What makes this more funny is knowing that this could have actually taken place between these two:)

  • talljimo1 watch his videossss view my profile he will be on my favorites hes cool like larry dude! i mean the guy knows what hes talkin about!

  • He dosn't have a wife and his parents are dead

  • "He doesn't have a wife and his parents are dead."

  • larry is cracking up when he says "foh-get paris." haha, in every episode i always look for the points when larry is laughing, and when i find them, it makes me laugh even harder

  • Hell yea, that is SO funny....he makes like 75% of this stuff up..and Richard Lewis laughs at him because they are going off script.

  • They don't use scripts, just a "scene outline". I think it works a lot better that way

  • Season 2, Episode 9, The Baptism.

  • Does anyone know what season this is from?

  • season 1 first episode

  • no, you're thinking of when he and richard are fighting over the girlfriend incident.

  • I love Larry David. I would Marry him.

I'm going to buy alll the seasons.. muahahaha.

  • "I'll be the man." I love that!

  • hahah larry is soooo funny

  • Forget Paris!

  • ha, that is so fuc*in funny..FORGET PARIS

  • I didn't steal your message ASSHOLE!

  • I'll be a big expansive man!

  • Don't thank people who bitch about meaningless shit. Nobody cares, just watch the video and stop moaning.

  • What's even funnier is that these two actually speak like this to one another in real life, (Larry says this in the season 5 dvd extras.)

  • Wow, he met Larry David at a summer camp at the age of 12.

Like a couple of kids. Hilarious.

  • i want richard lewis inside me

  • Fuh-get Paris

  • he doesn't have a wife and his parents are dead...boo hoo... LOL that is one of my fav scenes, thx for posting it.
