You have been in college for eight years-- time to get a job. Once you enter the real world, you might start to understand how policy is complicated by politics and how it isn't always easy to get things done.
Why don't you get a job on Capitol Hill and pour this energy into something productive? Showcasing your ignorance and arrogance on YouTube isn't going to end the war.
How disgraceful to be that disrespectful to a U.S. senator. You should be ashamed of yourself.
Do you have an immediate and viable resolution for Syrian and North Korean Nuclear interests? Do you have a solution for Iran's consistent defiance and threat to Israel? Do you have a contingency plan to counter $200 a barrel sweet Crude? How do you plan on curbing US inflation when oil prices have a systemic impact on our economy all the way down to what we pay for a roll of toilet paper (Do you ever wonder who pays freight prices when Diesel fuel quadruples in price?) Please let us all know.
My questions are not an implication of support for US occupation of Iraq, Afghanistan, or anywhere else for that matter, but short sided thinking is partially what got us there, so I would like to find out if the individuals voicing the loudest opinions on pulling out of Iraq have injected any thought into contingency plans if withdraw destabilizes the middle east more so than it currently is. As much as I hate our oil dependence, what if Iran over runs Iraq and seizes control of Iraq reserves?
I don't care for Senator Kohl, nor do I care for the Iraq war, but I would like to ask a few questions.
1. What does a Senators personal wealth have to do with anything? This is a serious question, so I'm looking for a serious answer.
2. What do you believe an abrupt end to funding of military action in Iraq and Afghanistan would accomplish, and how would you deal with the inevitable negative results and backlash that pulling operations out of the middle east would result in.
Pussies like you are a total fucking disgrace. We need real men in this country who understand the value of an all-volunteer army and respect the democratic process by which we elect our commander-in-chief, not a bunch of spoiled college kids who have nothing better to do with their time than question our military commanders, who put their lives on the line every fucking day to make sure that YOU can go on living the pointless life of bitching and whining to which you are accustomed.
I think antiwar activists should be more concerned about the 800,000 Iraqi civilians that have been killed, rather than the 3,500 American soldiers. US actions in Iraq are supreme war crimes and I think that it is important to address the issue in this way.
so, you snuck into a senator's office under false pretenses, convinced him you were taking stills when you were really taking video, and then started asking him hardball questions about the war? BRAVO, our politics don't agree, but thats balls to the wall my friend.
holy crap.. that was aweesssommme man... so awesome. i think this is the best video i have seen in the past few months. i dont know what these politicians think??? .. its like they take us all for idiots or something.. god what a foolish reply. monkey bush probably done better.. (or may be not??)
That video is pretty friggin cool. Washington is evil. Any change to the war or politics nationally is going to come from people outside of the city pressuring the power brokers inside of it. All of them are corrupt, self serving, money grubbing... I hate this city.
Nice video Chris. It's nice to know that people are actually doing something to make the politicians wet their pants like you guys did to Herb Kohl. Once he realized that you were the ones who occupied his office he was afraid. This is something that we need on a large scale by building a movement to accomplish. I think that this will help convince more people, myself included, to get involved. Solidarity.
Am I ashamed at what the Senator said? What the hell type of question was that? If you're funding a war solely based on lives lost and not the goals of a mission, you really don't know anything about military operations. You may think we're losing a lot of people, but do you know how much more we lost in Okinawa, in Iwo Jima, on D-Day? In Korea? Please.
Why did you not tell the Senator he was being recorded hmm? Who's the REAL deceiver?
Bush is not a tyrant. If you really think that, do you think you would still have the right to protest against his policies? Go to places like China, Iran, or North Korea and try to protest there. See what happens. Let me know when and if you come back. We are freer than most places, so stop being some ingrate and respect that.
Bush did not lie. He is not a mass murderer, unlike your communist friends Mao and Stalin, who murdered over 50 million people combined during their reign.
Amazing video, the government officials need to be held accountable and be recalled by their constituents. CAN has been doing some amazing work, keep it up!
Schools have been rebuilt, hospitals have been rebuilt, there are a fair number of neighbourhoods and areas under Iraqi control. Most of the Iraqi opinion that's against us is that of the radicals who like nothing more than to see us die and fail. Do you wan't America to lose?
...ok the "good things", Exxon-Mobile, BP, SHell, Raytheon, Haliburton, etc get rich? For what price, over 160,000 Iraqi civillian's and over 3000 American soldier's lives? I think the "bad things" kind of outweigh the "good things" by a long shot.
oh yea, this war is about oil. Please. We import more oil from countries NOT in the middle east than you think. Do some research.
Secondly, the bloated casualties of 160,000 iraqi civilians dead is a lie. The Lancet study was blatantly discredited. Guess you want America to lose and to fail in its mission in Iraq. Way to support your countrymen.
lose, we already won, don't you recall bush on that ship saying mission have been accomplish, and said that major combact is over, saddam is dead, iraqi liberate, we won.
Since when is it a good thing to destroy Iraqi schools and hospitals and have American contractors rebuild them? They should have NEVER been destroyed in the first place.
we dont deliberately destroy schools and hospitals. If you think that, then that means you do not support your own country, and not even your own countrymen.
ANd when you guys try to ask a question to a Senator, you claim you're being up front with him, but why did you not be up front with him that you were recording this? Yea, honesty my ass.
What an idiot. The budget for the war doesn't even pay soldier's salaries--it just pays to keep killing and displacing Iraqis, and keeps soldiers in harms way. I look forward to more independent media from CAN.
This has to start somewhere, and a grass-roots effort is just the thing. Keep up the good work. Looks like Congress is a dop-nothing bunch. What did we elect them for? Is everyone scared of Bush/Cheney? They will keep the war going for years and keep killing our young people. Americans need to stand up and be counted.
Soldier's salaries get paid from the DOD budget. If you think we are deliberately killing every single Iraqi person, you are far more deluded than that loon Michael Moore
hey, why arn't you over in iraq, i think that the us would do much better if people like you spend more time winning the war in iraq, and sitting in your mother basement in your underwear debateing on the net.
Instead of you bitching about how every american soldier is indiscriminately killing every arab, why don't YOU go serve if you want to make a difference? Why am I not over in Iraq? Because I'm not medically eligible for military service - I'm taking medication for some physical and neurological conditions I have.
Dude your a waste of life! I've served in Iraq proudly and I stand be Herb Kohl.... Only if you knew what he has done for us!!!!!

This video is about Herb Kohl. The fact that Wisconsin citizens had to travel to DC speak volumes about the character of Herb Kohl. Cowardly Kohl.
