  • Nice panels and setup. Keep up the good work. Thanks for sharing

  • You can but not a good idea, if the controller cuts the power or load from your turbine it will just let it spin freely, and it would cook your motor, or brake into bits, not a safe option I am afraid.

  • OK THANKS.

  • can you hook up the solar panel with the wind turbine through the same regelater THANKS,

  • looks like you are hot now boy, well done, not getting much done myself right now, work over the top, flat out with that, working in middlesbrough england for the next 6 months, so may-be can get back into it then, on to the third edition wind turbine book now, so will have it to you by end of month big fellar and got the small free build thing running by then too will email you both then first week in august

    reg andy

  • Where did you buy your batteries?

  • The best thing is to get the solar panels on your roof, that's what I did, and all the wiring stretch on a marine hock or several garden hose hocks on the wall and out of way to clean up the clutter and let the garage free for other things... good luck I got the solar panel; for the past 6 years... and it's working fine...

  • I like your thinking, but to be honest with you if someone can dodge the cctv cameras around my roads, the rottweillers and stafs in the gardens , the nosy neighbours, and manage to grab the heavy, big panels and jump again over 12 different gardens to the street, and make it in one piece then they can have the damm panels, but I know the gardens and what creatures live on them and its almost impossible to get away with it.

  • Nice setup. One possible problem with having large expensive solar panels on the ground though is that they would be fairly easy pickings for theives.

  • they would have to go past other gardens with rottweillers, staffs, and other dogs, not to mention the local alpha male cat that fights the dogs, he has got major issues, but you don't want to come across him I tried to scare him once and he just put his back up and showed me his jaws, now this cat as big corones, they would have to jump loads of gardens before getting to mine .

    see u

  • I suppose you could also make a concrete base and bolt them down to the ground. That way, even if someone did manage to dodge the fauna they couldn't just tuck a panel under their arm and run - it would take them time and effort to remove, giving the rottweillers more sporting opportunity :-)

  • Dean you should know by now that you can ask me any question, since you are my little windchaser, the only thing that I had plugged into the grid was the fridge and that will soon be sorted lol

    see u at windchasers
