If you grab every cent from the top 1% it would pay off CURRENT debt only and barely make a dent in social security/medicare promises. A multi-trillion dollar war (read attacking Iran to protect Israel expansionism) and another huge bank bailout will scuttle the programs. We need strong economy that provides us oldsters part time jobs, to start selling off trillions in federal and state govt assets (a productive way to get the rich's money), remove bureacratic boot off mutual aid alternatives.
