I like the fact you used "shat." When I hear people use "shit" in the past tense it annoys the crap out of me. "He just shit on me" is one I've heard recently. It shits me to tears.

@Plomomedia which is just to say it inadvertently pits you linguistically against a certain culture. i admit, i dont like the double negative either, but i've found it to be less of a grammatical mistake and more a cultural "representin".

@Plomomedia There are two types of people I've found to speak in double negatives: 1) spanish speakers who don't know enough english, and 2) lower class urban people (of whatever race). I believe that of the latter sort, the same people who do it have a 'switchover' dialect they use in more professional settings.
