@TheNewLooter you shouldn't dismiss the other megaten games outside the persona series, not to mention they are more gameplay focus and persona is the easier of the series anyway. Part of what makes the series unique is it's demon collecting system and dark theme. My initial response to the OC was that megaten, just because if when you lose to a boss fight doesn't mean you'll beat him when you overlevel, it just means you didn't have the right skills/spells obtained in the game to beat it.

P3&4 had the potential to be good jRPGs or visual novels, instead we got some half-assed VNs with dull characters and simplistic RPG elements (at least it's true with p3, I deleted p4 after I fell asleep during that 3 hour long intro so I assume it's even worse) that appeal only to casuals

@Masterblaster9001 Assmad Persona fan? Just because someone didn't like P3 and 4 doesn't mean you have to act like a small child about it. I've been with the SMT series since Nocturne, and he raises some rather well-founded points. P3 and 4 most certainly casualized the series and that's offputting for a lot of older fans. I win, though, because I can enjoy every single one of them. My Nocturne Hard run was absolutely amazing.

I'll be honest though, Persona wasn't particularly any easier than any other SMT title :V

The whole "MC dies, party dies" rule is what makes SMT so...hard, really.

Us veterans however, heh, we've dealt with that kind of shit tons of times.

It only became casual due to the dating system, which the west just looooves to be nit-picky about.

@Masterblaster9001 I'm actually going to pre-emptively apologize and give you the benefit of the doubt here, and assume you're thinking TheNewLooter isn't WANTING an RPG like Nocturne on Hard mode. That's not what I believe to be the case. It seems rather he's displeased with the difficulty of P3/4 (which were at least moderately difficult if you didn't completely know what you were doing), in which case, Hard Mode Nocturne would probably suit him just fine.

@mukamupantatku the bossfight is pretty disappointing , by far the most difficult on nightmare is the flamedragon , since u cannot avoid his ultimate attack "burning rage" on nightmare difficulty ^^

@Darkbreezee yes I do feel that SEVEN is rather too easy, I posted this comment when I'm just half-way of the game, and the final boss are just easy when you got the best equipment, played it on normal though, don't know about harder difficulty

and IIRC you can block un-dodge-able attack with R+L right?

@mukamupantatku not on nightmare, there are 3 ultimate attacks that are undodgable,Angue Barl "Burning Rage" , Rule-End "Nibelung Valesti" and Scias "Dark Destiny" .

U dont have to play Nightmare if u are already through the game on normal mode.

Nightmare are just more HP for the bosses and i guess some extra skills for ur opponents.

Guess i will make videos showing all skills and best dmg combos on all 7 characters.

@Darkbreezee ah I see, so in nightmare mode SEVEN is still not challenging enough huh, well IMO SEVEN has a low replay value despite that it's a long game compared to other Ys title in the past, so I don't think to start a new game on harder difficulty soon.

also it's a shame that SEVEN doesn't have boss rush and other extra contents stuff.

Man I beat this game on nightmare in like 3 days, (Long story on the wanting of this game) but now I am trying to beat the final bosses with basic 1st set of equip with everyone, almost impossible but I just got the the 2nd form of Rul-Ende (Right name? lol) with no healing/revivals, its a challenge for sure, oh and only using ADOL during the Tialuna fight.

LOL 2nd was the easiest for me, just use Aisha. Set up for Blue Cataract and Waspinator. Wasp it until it's stunned, then Cataract it or EX it to death.

@MasterLezard Tialuna and Rul-ende were a piece of cake.

I only used two characters on each of them.

First round, I use Elk all the way.

Second round, I use Geiss if that's how you spell his name.

Tialuna I use adol all the way, damn easy.

And I only used basic weapons well mid level actually since I was broke from buying the key item which boosts Extra speed from Zanzibar.

It was Scias that was a monster that wiped me out countless times before I won.
