  • Funny how we all still worship 80's but Tears for Fears are always eclipsed by your Duran Durans, New Orders and so on. Shame really!

  • @tomharding When was this? I mean i like Duran Duran, and New Order, but I will always put Tears for Fears ahead of them! Also A-ha and Big Country are also really overlooked By your U2's and Aerosmith's!

  • I was born in 1983...when I was a teenager I hated 80's music...to quote my old self "it's gay"...now I love this shit...it's still gay as hell...but I love it.

  • @anthonyjperri I was the same way born in 86 i hated 80's music growing up and now i love it but i am still die hard 90's alternative fan.

  • The chorus in this track is as good as any you will find in pop. Their guitar and piano rifts are superb, always have been, they tell a whole story of their own.

  • @Futurist1972 Remember back in those days many great artist's and very unique style. The Best times ever. This song is on the top of the list. Best to all.

  • what's happening? xD

  • @yaritzanaty1 Roland has a thing for this girl and he's trying to get her attention. LOL!

  • Thumbs up.

  • Growing up listening to this song I always thought @ 2:05 it was "My mother and my father use to beat each other up, and dreaming I was adopted".

  • At 1:26 and 3:37, makes you wonder if they're in the library from "Ghostbusters". XD Ha!

  • lovely video, it's dedicated to all the bookworms!

  • always said that roland wasnt presicely a pretty boy, but to be an englishman

    he´s got nice teeth

  • Great list of artists one and all...cannot disagree with any one of them...makes me want to search for all the different music of the era and rediscover all the hits...

  • I want to inform everyone I was with this highschool girl alone and she wasn't interested at all. But then I talked about the weather, and got a blow job.

  • I saw Tears for Fears last year in Toronto and it was probably the best concert I've ever been to. They're such amazing musicians and have only gotten better!

You MUST see them live if you ever have the chance!!!

  • I love This song!! I was kinda raised with old songs like Madonna, Michael Jackson, Tears For Fear, Prince , TLC, & More. My Mom raised me right :)

  • I like the song and the video !

  • roland looks like jon cryer (alan from 2 and a half men) with bigger hair :-o

  • Ahh here it is the origianl TREARS FOR FEARS video, LOVE IT. Great band from the 80's

  • Can u just talk to the girl already for you have a stroke

  • yes the 80's music was so much better no women shaking their azz in videos it was all about the music ....

  • @6969zena while it lacks women shaking their 'azz's' , it is definitely not all about the music...and theres plenty of 80's music with sex appeal involved...so before you go spamming stupid ass comments, try to, you know, not be stupid

  • @TheChin2010 how could it be more about the music this video?

  • @6969zena

Oh God how I wish that auto-tune Ipod-phillea quasi-porn would become a fragment of history.

  • "I wanted to be with you alone, to talk about the weather."

What a fucking great pick up line, I need to try it.

  • @universe112 why dont u try the pick line n tell us abt it...

  • The truth is Roland has been married to his wife Caroline for nearly 40 years next September and they have two sons Raoul and Pascal.

Curt was married twice. He was married to a woman named Lynne Altman in December 1982 and they divorced after six years of marriage. He met his second wife Laura Frances Pennington in 1988 at a St Patty's Day party and they got married in 1996 and they have two beautiful little girls Diva, 11 years old, and Wilder, 9 years old.

Huh! Gay? Me thinks not! :P

  • You said it all RaceCityTone, I couldnt agree more. I grew up in the 80s and there is no era like it!! 80s FAN THROUGH AND THROUGH!

  • The video was filmed in a Toronto library

  • A Jew, a monkey, a man with a gas mask, and uncle Joey.

  • 80'S Not only had the best music, they make the best Literal Videos

  • anyone think bass player at 3:18 looks a bit like alan carr?

  • These guys and Spandau Ballet ruled the 80's imo.

  • Muito boa essa musica!

  • Love it

  • @TheBipolarGemini HAHAHA I love the literal version!!!!

  • The song was released in UK in May 1985 and in the US in August 1985. It reached number #1 on the US rock charts in September 1985.

  • Class group, class act, class song. God i'm getting old.

  • @TheBipolarGemini Donnie Darko is my favorite movie of all time.. funny how you'd mention it ahah :)

  • @xXxbeatlesforeverxXx Actually this song was alive and kicking long before Donnie Darko. :)

  • @CelesteK i know

  • Music was great in the late 70,s and all of 80,s.

  • Donnie Darko?

  • I am a 45 old black male. I was born and raised in Detroit. i grew up listening to 80's music. The best music ever made is the music of the 80's. Before u disagree, listen to these artists 1. Prince 2. Duran Duran 3. Madonna 4. Pat Benatar 5. Tears for Fears 6. George Michael 7. Bruce Springsteen 8. Simple Minds 9. The Eurythmics 10. Janet Jackson I haved listened to music all my life. From the early 70's til now. There is no music era that can touch the eighties. THE 80'S RULE
  • @RaceCityTone

Strange you mention Janet Jackson but not her brother Michael.

Still, great taste in music all around.

  • @RaceCityTone that doesn't make sense, how can you be 45 and grow up listening to 80's music?

  • @HammerFistification Well, he was born in 1966, so he would have only been 14 in 1980. Do the math, dude.

  • @RaceCityTone Black guys with good taste in music FTW.

  • He's not black. Black dudes don't start a post going "I'm black". Anyone who starts a post with race or gender is clearly opposite, remember 98% of people posing as females on the internet are dudes. Or maybe he is black, but he forgot the "gay".

  • @vampyre4208 wow so your basically saying that black guys that like this song are gay? ...um...kay.

  • @SarahAngelx yes, that's exactly what I'm saying, or what simple minded people think when they read a clearly sarcastic comment. The point is stop thinking that everthing you read is the truth, and don't take things so literaly, or do...doesn't matter.

  • @vampyre4208 Forget about ingorant people running for the republican party. We should stop ignorant people from posting on internet sites just like this one. :(

  • @vampyre4208 Why does a black guy who likes "80"s music have to be gay? I was in the Army for eight years. Also, i am 100% Black. I grew up in one of the roughest neighborhoods in Detroit. I never had any white friends until i joined the Army. My grandmother raised me. She taught me to respect people of all races. i usually never respond to comments, but yours really pissed me off. Good music is good music Oh by the way, as far as me being gay, NOT BY A LONGSHOT

  • @RaceCityTone That's a touching story, I can see why your life partner loves you so much 45 year old black male, who insists on stating he's a 45 year old black male.

  • @vampyre4208 haters gonna hate

  • @RaceCityTone WOW! Same here! Black Male 45 from Detroit (Cooley High) and the 80's rule. WLBS out of Mt. Clemens is were I got my new wave fix. MOJO on WGPR gave me my B-52's fix. Ultravox, Tears for Fears, Pet Shop Boys, Blondie, Visage, Depeche Mode, Thomas Dolby, Men at Work(!) and on and on and on!

  • @mta415 Pet shop boys, Thomas Dolby, i think you got the best ones. This is real talent you won't see ever again.

  • @RaceCityTone you wouldn't have any of that music without jazz, blues etc... not saying the eighties were bad but i'm a classical fan. stuff like John Coltrane and just straight good jazz is beautiful man.

  • @RaceCityTone

ppppphhhhhhhhhhh!!!!! Pat Benatar... Janet Jackson... You made me laugh

  • @RaceCityTone

I agree completely with you. I hope some day in the future that bands like this make a come back. I can't stand today's music.

  • @RaceCityTone My Dad introduced to me all these musicians and all their music and I love the 80's myself, a huge fan :) I agree with you there is no music era that can touch the eighties

  • @RaceCityTone im sorry pal, i'll have to disagree with you there, the 70's were far better and this is coming from a 21 year old, and before you disagree here are the ten artists I will provide to you that are better than each of your artists (ok maybe not prince and brucey) 1. the sex pistols 2. joy division 3. David bowie 4. ac/dc 5. the clash 6. the ramones 7. Iggy pop 8. QUEEN 9. led zeppelin 10. pink floyd. 70's RULE

  • @2pintsprick many of those bands and musicians continued into the 80s, like queen, david bowie and ac/dc. lots of thye 70s are in the 80s, making the 80s even better. Also, RaceCityTone forgot a lot of other amazing bands from the 80s. i have nothing against the 60s and 70s though.

  • @RaceCityTone Dude, you forgot The Smiths!!

  • @RaceCityTone i completely agree ;)

  • @RaceCityTone Don't forget.. the entire Jackson Family including Michael.. Jermaine, Tito.. etc...., U2, Queen, Africa Bambaata, LL Cool J, En Vogue, Daid Bowie, The Ramones, Simple minds, Whitney Houston..., Sade, Bryan Adams, Cyndi Lauper, Billy Ocean, Tina Turner.. (whats love got to do wit it.. etc.), Robert Palmer, and yes even Milli Vanilli.. gotta give credit for blame it on the rain though... :)

yeah and theres also.. Chrissie Hynde an the pretenders, Phil Collins, Peter Gabriel... :)

  • Cant forget themany Reggae Greats as well... Peter Tosh, Bob Marley, Yellow Man... Michael Rose. musicians.. Sly and Robbie Shakespear.. Burning Spear.. Culture.Dennis Brown.. so many more...

and oh yeah back to the pop 80's era... yeah.. Stevie Wonder... so many more to name Psychedelic Furs, Billy Idol...Bryan Ferry, Jefferson Starship, Run D MC, Beastie Boys, Hall and Oates, Men at Work, Toto, .. and yes Corey Hart, Peabo Bryson, Chaka Khan..., Regina Belle, Jodi Watley, Luther Vandross :)

  • @RaceCityTone you didnt mention metal and hard rock of the 80's!!!

  • @RaceCityTone the early 70's you say?

  • @RaceCityTone Where's Micheal?!

  • @RaceCityTone amennn brotha!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @zhwzh308 you mean the one with the hat ;-)

  • The librarian, wow, smoking hot!

  • When he's offered a coffey on the end he looks like he received some shit in a cup or something.

  • One of their best songs, very underrated band I think

  • 2:22 amazing voice

  • You shouldn't say, "Justin Bieber," sweetie...that's naughty. ;-)

  • Justin Bieber shouldn't be in the same sentence when talking about Tears for Fears

  • @sikokiller12 Funny how you said that so ironically.

  • @sikokiller12 Justin Beiber shouldn't even be in the same hemosphere when talking about Tears For Fears. Unfortunately we have a few people with "Bieber Fever."

  • @sikokiller12 ever

  • @sikokiller12 unless that sentence is: "Compared to Tears for Fears, Beiber is a microscopic organism that was completely
