it already is. in interview with amreican high ranked navy officer, it was stated that - america would rather take indian navy's help then chinese, because of available aircraft carrier and most advance destroyers in the ocean. Plus we killed 80% of pakistani naval in the second war :-) that gave us a real good target practice.

Well you would do well to take a look at Delhi class destroyers and the new Krivak frigates. Brit stuff is not what it used to be, only Americans are the undisputed champs at the sea now. Rest are just second fiddle to the USN. Bitter but a truth told!

Good one but the fact is even US failed in its efforts to help Katarina victims, however in our case the problem was of whole road infrastructure being inundated due to a major river changing its course such a cataclysm happens only once in every 50 years. You cant expects ships to go in 20 ft deep water only small boats can go which were inadequate. Also India has poverty and riches in equal measure dont go by our English and your oh "India is so poor media". Regards!
