if your from the states. how much on average is it per person for the trip and supplies to travel to and climb mt. fuji. its something i have always wanted to do. and soon will be possible
About 5-6k yen for boots if you dont have any already, 2k for rain suit, 2k for a decent backpack if you dont have one, 1k for a climbing stick, fleeces and general warmth gear should be brought also. Travelling from Tokyo will cost you about 7k, and transport from one of the Fuji-surrounding towns to the 5th station (starting point) will cost you about 1.5k.
Great video cous!! lol..You truly talk like a doctor!!lol.. Lord willing, with the Lord's help you will be a great doctor..Have fun in Wheeling and hope to see you in the future..
I missed the opportunity to climb in four years. Alas next few months i will be leaving Japan. I wish I could get some other summer and climb the mountain.
I climbed it when I was with the US Marines back in 1993. We made it up and down in the same day. If i remember correctly it took us 3 hours to go up and 2 to come down. We were moving at a good pace. Depending on your level of fitness, its possoible to do it in one day. You should psuh yourself to do it as its an amazing experience
This video was AWESOME! A friend and i are planning on climbing Fuji-san next year in July... what would you recommend and what path did you use? also... the music was wonderful! what are the names of the songs you used??? THANKS!!! ;3
Hugo.....I'm impressed. I recall talking to ex B-29 pilots who climed over it on their way to bomb the "house of the rising sun." Impressive climb, Hugo! Sure beats living in Lewisburg....now that's "supreme boredom!" Nice video, Hugo. Good job. You should try Mt. Adams here in Washington state next. Not steep, but can be a "killer."
should of done the climb at night to see the breathe less sunrise

Red, really red igneous rocks, just like the ones found on the mountains of west coast of BC. ie Mount Garibaldi.
