  • maintainance nightmare...

  • YOU'RE RIGHT IT'S NO LONGER A PORSCHE IT IS NOW A RUF IT'S NOT THE FIRST TIME ENGINEER'S USED A PORSCHE BODY TO IN-PUT THEIR EXPERTISE THE PORSCHE BODY IS STRONG AERODYNAMIC ETC

  • It's not a Roof it's a RUF*

  • @AlexxSR Actually, Alois Ruf pronounces it "roof" ...Maybe you should watch the Ruf History video's.

    youtube.com/watch?v=yfYHCbyo6CE

  • @SacredSocietyAP Oh well, sorry about that, it's just that in french everyone pronounce it as "rawf"

  • gosh I love it!!!

  • it is freaking awesome!

  • Too bad it's a RUF and not a Porsche...

  • @tudythegangster Too bad? Nah.

  • @tudythegangster What does it say on the hood?

  • @SacredSocietyAP Nothing. Random question is random...

  • @tudythegangster It says Porsche.

  • @SacredSocietyAP Nope.

  • @tudythegangster There IS a Porsche badge. You may wanna look again. 1:45

  • @SacredSocietyAP That's different. Anyway there are Renault badges on Dacias but we both know they aren't nearly as good...

  • sick

  • what a beast ,yeehaa! love it

  • "rough"

    idiot

  • Wicked!

  • that car deff has seen the track...

  • On those days Porsche Factory almost ruined for being so expensive to built this cars, so now they still make them but with a lot more cheap plastics on and much more silent engines, this one is a good experience, no women car. And if you drive it fast, and manage to handle it in corners you are a real champ!

  • Just enough power to rap it around a lamp post and burst into flames... Lol

  • Ok, i'll take it!

  • I'm in serious LOVE.

  • that intercooler is a work of art

  • Maybe its not a 100% RUF mecanic but still.... I'm jacked up dude LOL BEAUTIFUL BABY wow

  • I can't believe nobody noticed some FLAWS here...

First ,there is NO 964 based BTR! Second ,there is NO 964 from 1988 ,the 964 series was launched in '89 and the Turbo version saw daylight in '90.

I checked RUF's pdf catalogs for the 964 series and there was not even a BTR kit for it ,964 RUF based where called RCT and the only option was for the 1993 version of the 3.6l which brought it to 425bhp.

Now this might be a RUF but it's not entirely genuine.

  • Reminds me of that Ruf Weiber Reise (please excuse any typos, I don't speak German) I had seen on a mag many many years ago.

    A childhood dream.

  • The correct way to say the last name of Alois (Luis) Ruf is pronounced ROOF. And the BTR was tested by Road and Track in 1984 and it embarassed all others the day it was tested. Sure this thing is even faster and if it is the Yellow Bird engine then it is a CTR not a BTR.

  • Quick fact : Ruf is german for Reputation .

    Beautiful Porsche.

  • what an awful salesman i would never buy a car from you.

  • It's not bad at all.... sounds muscular too

  • is this unit still for sale?

  • wtf that car have thtere yours and its still cult and have style

  • i want to cry . aaaaaaaaaaaaaah love it

  • Do you think a 17 year old could handle and take good car of a porsche? Is it hard to keep in good shape?

  • Its not a picnic table , is a bbq chrome grill

  • that car iS DA SHIT. that intercooler is CHUNKYYY

  • does it have drool repelling paint ?

  • Some lucky guy is driving around with a huge smile on his face. Under $50,000? Thats a steal!

  • @pimpedvw and a beautiful Bavarian Babe beside him too lol

  • Those things have unbreakable transaxles.

  • I came by the dealership, is the car sold?

  • I like how sometimes the salesman said roof (correct) then ruf. I get it wrong all the time. I got a 993 ruf btr2 with (only) 420 horse. It is plenty fast for me but this thing sounds mental! Love that cam lope and turbo whine. This thing is ready to swap ends and make you pray to the car gods you don't rag doll it at the next round about...excellent vid!!!

  • how many times has this machine been taken down the track?

  • gem

  • The thing sounds like a 12.5 to1 HEMI running, nice looking and tuff sounding for sure! Is this something I could drive nation wide, as in touring?

  • Actually an easy to maintain supercar.

It is worth the investment to have a 200 MPH/9 second quarter mile/car for under $50,000 delivered.

  • $50,000 for a 964 Ruf with 600+ horsepower? You cant find a vanilla turbo for that price. If I had the cash I'd scoop it up in an instant.

  • To find anyone who can work on them or to find the cash for someone to work on it would be a difficult task. Still what a sick car.

  • I dont say Achtung that way either. Thanks for the German lesson.

  • "Roof" not "rough"

  • I agree!! WOW!!!

  • wow.
