  • when i was getting potty trained i only wet the bed once

  • I feel bad for the kid... Imagine if his peers watch this when he's a teen.

  • I cant wait till im a parent

  • i never wet my bed :S ?

  • diapers are the best thing to use PERIOD!

  • no u use pads wean we have a period they got them in shops

  • I had one of those alarms when I was little. I hated it, but it's a good tool to have

  • this is when plasic mattress covers come in handy. i had a bed wetting problem and my parents bought plasic sheets and they would put a regular over it. it helps protect the mattress.

  • or you could beat your child.

  • i wore dry nites 4 1 nite and then i stopped! basically they r nite time diapers x

  • Who the?

    What the hell?

    How old are you? 5?

  • dont wake them up it'll make them mooore angry

  • Just connect the kids penis to a tube that goes directly to there mouth and they will drink it and either wake up or have a bad taste in there mouth

  • gosh people have become so dependent on medications and technology. I wet the bed past the age of 7 and I don't have medical issues. you just let your kid grow out of it, that's what my parents did.

  • Thants what i come on here for, a child wets the bed as she or he is not ready to use the toilet, unless there is a med promblem. let the child grow out of it :) when the child is ready. and refussing a child a drink before bed is child abuse, i have two children and both were bed wetters on grow out of it at the age of 7 and 8 and grow up happy and have good jobs. I dodn't understand the isuss about a child wetting? get a life and leave the kids along and stop pumping them with drugs.

  • @TheSweetAngel37 not giving your child a drink before they go to bed is NOT child abuse, its not like you're denying them drinks all day and dehydrating them, you just don't give them water right before bed....like 15-30 minutes before bed

And the issue is some people don't want to clean up piss every night

  • Reward for being dry is like rewarding them for getting taller. Bet wetting alarms... all they do is wake up the entire house except the person wetting the bed... I don't recommend it. Try making your child drink during the day; sometimes kids are so busy playing they will not hydrate themselves without prompting and then they're all thirsty at bedtime once they're prone and thinking about it in bed.

  • i hink every1 has that dream where their right at the urinal, lol... atleast once anyways

  • my problem was dreaming that i was actually getting up, out of bed and sitting on the toilet. its about training yourself to know that its all just a dream. lol.. and that can be hard as a kid. (even as an adult) But thats my experience. :)

  • y he bite pillow!

  • lmfao i know i tihnk the bed wetting is the last of his worries:p

  • I'm sure this video is well intended, however, as the founder of Dry Kid Academy, a nonprofit charitable organization that helps kids who wet the bed, parents should know that many of the recommendations mentioned are counterproductive to achieving permanent dryness and the most common medication used for bedwetting has been banned for this use by the FDA in December of 2007. There are alternate solutions that don't require restricting liquids or setting alarms at night.

  • Totally.

  • wow, i wet the bed till i was 13 and theres nothing medicly wrong with me o.o jeez people, get your kid some goodnights and let them grow out of it, you dont need to medicate your kids for wetting the bed.

  • God this must be difficult to deal with....

Can you stop all liquids after 6pm? or is it because the kid is at rest before bed and then gets up and goes to bed?

Its tough parents AND kids that can deal with this are great....

I never had it. my cousin did, but I think i did it on holidays when i was about 5.

  • i used to wet the bed when i was 5 and every time i would stay at a cousins house i would share a bed with him yes i said him but i was 5 and i would wet the bed and i would cry because it would embarass me and my cousin

  • Sometimes none of this stuff works, my body grew faster than my bladder and didn't catch up until I was almost 14. Then my bladder caught up to my body size, and I had no more problems with it.

  • BEEN THERE DONE THAT LOLZZ

  • lol i never wet the bed. if i ever had the urge to go piss in the middle of my sleep, my dream would dramatically change so that id see somethign like a toilet seat. then id immediately know that i should wake up.

so i would wake up lmao

  • This is really hard to admit but ... I am 13 and I wet the bed ... I have a medical issue where my bladder does not keep pace with my body, so, it is much smaller than it should be.. Bed Wetting is a very "social" issue though.. I never have sleepovers and I find it kind of embarrassing when I buy a plastic cover for my mattress.. It's something that's very hard to deal with but all in all (depending on your age and why you wet the bed) I think it's something that can be overcome and dealt with.

  • Do you think that wearing your day clothes when you sleep would help? My friend hates wearing a diaper.

  • LOL

  • What my parents did was a pretty good idea, as I recall they would tell me not to use the bathroom at school.. So I would drink all these fluids when I was in 1st 2nd and 3rd grade, and have to hold it, my bladder size increased dramatically according to the doctor, and to this day I never go to the bathroom at school, and can't remember the last time I even though about wetting the bed haha

  • i never wet the bed

  • well alot of kids do so stop rubbing it in there faces

  • I peed the bed till I was about 8 years old. I'm still scarred.

  • lol

  • can you imagine if your job was to be a urologist? talk about a somewhat awkward speciality.

"what do you do for a living?"

    "oh, i study pee."

  • DISGUSTING

  • WHY THE FUCK WOULD BED WETTING BE "DISGUSTING" ? It happens to many people and there is nothing "disgusting" about it ...

  • i would let my kid wear a teen diaper lot better them shocking him p.s i do not have a son or a kid but shocking the kid is very wrong to me

  • wow. i stopped bed wetting at like 4.

  • With that loud "zzzzz", no wonder it is a success.

  • Wouldn't it be much easier to just reassure the child that it's normal and most likely he has friends do the same thing, then, buy inexpensive "plastic", over the underwear pants. It's probably humilliating enough already; some mental reassurance would do wonders.

  • Dzakovich000 obviously doesn't know how a circuit works. or maybe even what a circuit is...

  • ...Jesus, what happened to just letting the kid grow out of it? And he puts the explanation into such absurd tones, it sounds like the poor kid is pissing on purpose... I remember actually one time when I was 8-9 years old, I was actually dreaming I was at the pool, and I and to piss, I went to the bathroom(in my dream), and started to piss. Immediately after I woke up and realized I had pissed myself. I think he just needs to quit drinking stuff before bed...

  • all ways white ppl

  • Why do you say that? By the way, it's "allways", not "all ways". Is that why you abbreviated the word "people", because you can't spell? Don't be such a racist!

  • actually its "always" ...

  • "look4hiram", you're wrong too. -.- It's not allways. It's "always"

  • actually it's spelled "always" so i wouldn't correct him if you can't spell either, so you're also pretty stupid

and also we're on the internet meaning people everywhere wil abbreviate words to be able to type easier/faster.

so in conclusion, don't be such a smart ass.

  • its "always"

  • It's actually "always". LOL.

  • So true

  • When that alarm malfunctions and zaps that lil willy he will learn real quick to quit pissing the bed up!

  • Not even a malfunction. The urine would contact his skin and he would become part of the circuit. It seems like getting shocked could be a common problem.

  • it probably does zap it but at like 3 volts the human body doesnt feel it

  • hahahahah whooooo!!! thatll learn em

  • When that alarm malfunctions and zaps that lil willy he will learn real quick to quit pissing his bed up!

  • lol

  • what my parents did when i wet the bed was wake me up and give me an extremly cold shower and guess what i never wet the bed anymore.

  • I think the kid will have a double urinate, one it`s accidentaly during the sleep and one right after because he gets skared by the alarm. I wouldn`t buy this. I find it useless.

  • Yeah... but doesn't that alarm only work AFTER the wetting has occurred?

    -TonyaTko

  • The following solution IS A "GREAT GIFT" FOR THE BEDWETTER. #1 way to stop bedwetting is the alarm that sounds when the child begins to urinate. It teaches the brain to wake up when sensing a full bladder and/or the initial release of urine even while asleep. Waking a child up at an arbitrary time at night does NOT work. The alarm is not a punishment for the child - it is a relief for the child who will have fewer accidents until finally a dry bed every night! Happy child & happy parents.

  • omg they're just kids get the hell over it

  • my mom use to get me up in the middle of the night and make me go potty

  • This subliminal ad tells us to get warned of wet pants, that have already got wet, otherwise the alert wouldn't go on. So it's too late. A bit unlogic. You may say, immediatly after the signal one stops urinating; but in deep sleep, where this is said to happen, this is not realistic, IMO.

  • When the wetness is detected, it's already a bit too late.

  • How would you like waking up at 2 in the morning, and having to clean your child because they accidently wet the bed, so chill out.

  • tkam

  • why would they use alarm, that is crazy, if you put your child to sleep at 8 and you go to sleep around 10 30 or 11, wake the child up before you go to bed, alarm that is crazy.

  • Who the hell created that stupid device? all you gotta do is not let them drink an hour before bed and make them go pee after they brush their teeth. Frig I never pissed the bed and maybe it has something to do with my parents not being TaRdS! If the child is wetting the bed its the parents stupidity!!!!

  • Not nesicarilly... They're are some diseases that cause "Bed-Wetting".

  • Deep sleep. The body is unable to wake up until it is too late.

  • That is where you are sooooooooo wrong....before calling anyone stupid get the facts! My son is having this issue...he does not drink for 2 hours before bed and must go to the washroom before going to bed. We wake him up 3 hours after he goes to bed, set his alarm to wake him up 3 hours after that and at times he still wets the bed.

  • have u seen a doctor there maybe a medical problem i have one and it dosnt really affect mee but thats becuase i wear diapers to bed

  • same as me

  • I have no memory of ever wetting the bed so I can assume I quit before I turned 2.

  • whoaa this is pretty cool

  • you know honestly you should drink more fluids before, when you limit the amount of fluid you stunt the growth of the bladder, thus limiting the time and amount you can hold the urine. my brother is nearly 8 years old and still wets, my parents have put him on this bedwetting program where he drinks more fluid before going to sleep, and he sleeps on this pad and much like that alarm, it goes off, and since he has been on this program he has not wet the bed once.

    and medication, are you kiddin

  • what i would do is mod the litte "wetness detector" so that it gives the little kid a dose of 120v when he pisses himself. perfect solution

  • You know what works? Beating your kid for wetting the bed.

  • Just make them take a piss before they go to bed and give them a diaper and be done with it sheesh

  • im gonna wet thew bed tonight in honor of this video!

  • I love how people are arguing over when they stopped wetting the bed. Nobody cares. Everyone does it. If you either say that you stopped wetting the bed when you were 2 or you have never wet the bed, you are either LIEING, or something is really messed up down their.

So go ahead and try to start conversations about how you are so cool because you never wet the bed. You're just making your self like an idiot, or a really bad lier.

  • yeah i mean its retarded.. i did this too but i stoped myself

  • my friend had this problem and it didnt stop untill she was about 10 she had the vibration and alarm sensor but it turned out being allergies

  • sometimes i pee when i laugh

  • wow

  • Urinating oneself is a fun and easy activity. It keeps me warm and makes for a great joke at parties or family get-togethers. I'm 22 and do-so on a daily basis. It's healthy.

  • lol. they take this so seriously. its hillarious.

  • this is a serious issue; especially for the child who cannot have sleepovers and who lives with the fear others will find out and make fun of him. walk a mile in his shoes -- no, make that sleep in a wet bed a few nights and see if it's funny or not.

  • a pill for bedwettin?

just another sign of our pharmacologically addicted society. That and the fact that 90% of the US's water supply is tainted with everything from mood stabalizers to tranqualizers and female hormones.

The government sanctions stupid medications (synthesized in a labratory from god knows what?) with horrendous side effects worse than the diseases themselves, while natural remedies used since the dawn of man with no side effects IE. MARIJUANA, OPIUM; remain illegal!

  • True I am more of a natural substance person and I make sure that it is actually healthy for my body because I don't want to be putting any thing harmful in there even. Bed wetting is not fun at all and I am thinking that it could be from some bladder spasms and also that my bladder is on the weak side. It has been weak every since I can remember.

  • right on!

  • "Take Aspirin for headaches. Side effects may include, nausea, heartburm, strokes, seizures, and death."

  • true true.

  • you are so right

    dont criticize, legalize!

  • Ive never wet the bed.

  • It's embarassing, even though I personally ceased to wet my bed when I was 8 months old

  • yeah LIER

  • Im still peeing in my pants and im 28, i acctually think its fun

  • You are kidding, right?

  • God, I hope so.

  • seconded

  • LOL!!

  • lol

  • What...

  • HA I'm 10 and I never wet the bad EVER cuz bedwetting is 4 babys :PP

  • nice name looool

  • if your ten ur not allowed to have an account on youtube you realize that rite?

  • ur point is....

  • k people 20+ and 10- cant have youtube accounts, so yeah

  • Leave me alone!!! I am not a baby!!!! lol, jk

  • I can't believe this "urologist" is endorsing a device that SHOCKS your child when he wets the bed!! What kind of a doctor is this??

  • ummm it just makes a noise

  • .....you either heard him wrong or your just stupid, it makes a noise, doesnt shock him.

  • As a former bed wetter until the age of 5 this is an emotionaly problem for the child exampel:

The child goes to school and comes home crying because some on took his toy got mad fun of or he got detention. The mom cools him down and has a better rest of the day goes to bed and, wets himself then the mom gets mad DO YOU PEOPLE UNDERSTAND HOW HORRIBEL THAT IS! This child will not stop wetting the bed until the perents know how the kids are feeling... dam i feel lie dr phill.

    -ohnoboohoo

  • bed wetting can be very emotionally painful, and may not be not just a deep sleep problem. A child that feel insecure, is bullied at school, was sexually molested or one of many other things can have this problem. Of course limiting the liquid intake before going to sleep may help. But if the problem is bigger than this it may not solve it. Punishment or any other thing that make him feel more ashamed or frustrated will make it worst.

  • If that doesn´t work you can upgrade it to the tazering model. That way she'll learn not to wet the bed........"and when the urine completes the circuit... the device sends a clear sign to the child and he'll instantly awake from his sleep and it'll be his responsibility to clean himself up and go back to sleep in the wet bed, or he can put some newspaper on it...whatever."

  • You dont even need to upgrade, you can modify this model even before use and when the urine completes the circuit the device gives the child a good shocking in the pants, that ought to wake them up and get them to stop.

  • WTF when i was little they couldn't pay me 2 put wires n my under wear!!!

  • The parents had the best ideas. Bed wetters are usually deep sleepers. They get a message of fullness in daytime, not at night. Reward and punishment don't work & say, "I should get paid for positive behavior or I mustn't get caught when I misbehave." There are more effective ways to raise children. Read Punished by Rewards, take the course, Redirecting Children's Misbehavior. Bedwetting may not be caused by bad parenting but the best parenting skills make parent/child relationships better.

  • There are better methods than punishment and reward. Also often children who wet the bed are very sound sleepers. I noticed that the parents who post ideas and the parents in this video have better ideas than the M.D. I wonder how many bedwetters this M.D. got up in the knight with.

  • i stopped when i was 4

  • Im 14 now and I think I stopped at what..like..

    9? ish

give or take a year or so.

  • um.....i stopped at like 7

  • me too. its so embarrasing.

  • When I was a kid I used to actually see myself in the dream peeing. lol I didn't stop until I was like 9 though....

  • Lol, I was the same way.

  • the way my mom stopped my little brother from wetting the bed again...she got him an electric blanket!

  • Thank you for this very interesting video, it will certainly be a big help for when I have kids running around the house someday as well :)

  • wow

  • Before you tackle the bedwetting they need to get the pillow out of his mouth...

  • there is an easy way to alter the noise maker so that when the pee comletes the circuit instead of making a noise it gives the child a good shocking, works way better

  • i dont wet in bet but if im really full i wake up and go to bathroom

  • Gee... it's not rocket science. Just hit the bathroom before you go to sleep.

  • aww .just get over it >.>

  • lol i wet the bed until i was 9. my uncle wet his bed until he was 15.

  • -___-

Why did they not mention psychological issues as another cause for bed wetting?

  • Because psychological causes are very rare (contrary to old-wives tales). Especially in young kids.

  • lol I can't beleive that people are being killed all the time by the actions of the NWO and we are talking about little kids and how they are wetting their beds

  • so little kids are gonna put this strap on and then its gonna wake them so they can go cleen them self up? Its part of the parents reponsibilaty to do that suff. its in the job aplacation. its like makeing the baby change ther own diper

  • I don't think giving stickers will help... I thought this problem is based on inability to control doing it

  • whats wierd is i used to drink alot before bed and i was able to hold it at night when i was 5

  • when I was 9 I peed in the bed but that was only the dream felt so real I thought I was really going to the bathroom in my dream!

  • dude when i was 3 or 4 i never wet the the bed

  • lolwut? why was this a promoted video?

  • 3:26 - Stop urinating??? Yeah, right!

  • I'm not trying to be rude, but I wouldn't be telling the world about that.

  • Sowhat! He's 5... Dont give him to much to drink before bedtime!

Well, i peed myself when i was older than him, but that was another story! ^^

  • :S It's really that hard not to drink after 8?? lol

  • that's terrific... stick a buzzer on your kid. so when the alarm goes off to wake him up. it scares him so bad that he REALLY pisses himself!!! XD

  • This is sick and wrong!

  • Just asked my parents, I never wet my bed, yay. My silblings did, though. Guess there are exceptions.

  • giv him a diper

  • when i was younger not real young but about from 5-10 i wet the bed only when i was sick it was strange

  • i used to do it on perpose to make my mom mad but i stoped at age 4.

  • man i stoped wetting the bed at 3 but starting farting in bed til 12

  • um ew

  • i've wet my bed once.. when i was 10, i think. apart from that, i've never wet it before. it's always seemed natural to get up in the middle of the night, and go to the bathroom and pee. even if i pee before i go to bed.

  • I housed trained an 8 week old puppy in one weekend. My advice for a boy from this experience: wake up periodically in the night (once or twice) for a bathroom break.

Don't do anything psychological!!! Going to the bathroom is just good old fashioned biology. Don't turn your kid into a psycho by using any psychology.

  • i still havent been able to control it hahaha

  • i havent pee'd in the bed since i was 3 if i did my parents are mad lol

  • Guess they scared you pissless.

  • A sticker or star?

or you could lock in in the frute celler until he learns!

  • awesome!

  • im glad his shirts fit

  • honestyl when im peeing i cant stop.

  • that poor kid...

  • lol :O

  • I never once wet the bed whereas my little sisters both wet the bed until they were 8. It all really depends on how much time the parents have to devote to the child to teach them.

  • It has nothing to do with the parents. It's deeper than that. Some people had trouble later on because of hypothalamus problems. Or childhood stress due to outside events =P

  • your high! you never wet the bed? my son doesn't either but he wears 2 diapers to bed now!

  • my ass he will clean himself up n reset the alarm

  • lmao dude

  • maybe something is wrong with yur prostate. or your vas defferas idk how to spell it. but you should go for a check up.

  • Who in the world would choose to be a urologist?

  • the individuals in this video neglected to mention possible sexual or physical abuse as a contributing factor

  • Because it is extremely unlikely. Bedwetting is MUCH more common than sexual/physical abuse.
