Best band ever to exhist, I have not heard a song from them yet that I didn't like. That is a rare thing to like every song from a band, and Led Zeppelin pulled it off.
Why can't people make music like this anymore. I personaly feel like the creative high point for music was from around 1960 untill 1980 with a few exeptions. But sadly i dont think were ever gonna see music like this created again. Enjoy the classics
@AnthonyVardaro i 100% agree with that. it's all useless talentless waste. bastard kids talking about pussy and money. nobody will ever make music REAL and pure like the 60's and 70's when a song was a song with instruments and front men. only so few bands can actually have a good sound. the Black keys, Wolfmother, Radio moscow. but No we will never hear this kind again
@takinadeuce I agree, but I also think that Cage The Elephant is one of the few talented bands who have a good sound anymore, only if music was like it used to be.
MGMT is by far the best modern band. In fact I'd go to say they are one of the best artists of the last 30 years, in my opinion. Most people only know them from their radio hits, but their lesser known songs are so much more than that. Their style is a mix of like psychedelic pop, symphonic rock, and modern electronica. Anyway MGMT's second album is pure substance man. Check out the song "Siberian Breaks" or "Metanoia," they are life-changing compositions.
@cointreau74 yeah they're good i like the distinct sounds. look up hold on me by radio moscow. it's the closest i've heard music from today that sounds like music from then
i remember as a 12 year old hearing this for the first time.my brother ditched all his 70s records for the 80s stuff.the clash, bowie, idol, duran duran etc,,,i remember thibnking that i liked this better than stairway, whole lotta love, dazed,,,it was a change.zep kept growing.in my opinion by in through the out door they made there own type of music
Any of you younger generation get the part "packed my hopes inside a matchbox" ? For those that don't, in the 60s and 70s you could by a matchbox packed full of weed for a buck or two. The little matchboxes the size of a zippo lighter. It was the only way I ever bought it for about a ten year period.
@SuperMegaUberGenius i just bought his autobiography last night, the one that he published in 1975, i can't wait to read it. i came across it at a second hand store and was thrilled to find it.

@stradlin62 He is. Hendrix, Page, and Ritchie Blackmore of Deep Purple are the 3 best in history in my own opinion. And not necessarily in that order. I call it a tie. They are all 3 amazing. They did it all back when there was less. Everything Hendrix did was in a 4, 5 year period. That in itself is amazing to say the least. You have other great guitarist like Slash, SRV and many others, but they had the advantages of more modern technology. And I am very partial to SRV growing up in Austin.
@browsemusicvideos I agree to you, but everyone has an own oppinion. I love Hendrix, Page, Blackmore, Slash and many other. But there are some guitarists, who don´t play so emoticonal like Page, Hendrix and Slash
let's put it this way: my two favorite songs, that i cannot separate, that both occupy #1 all-time for me, are "a day in the life" and "stairway to heaven" so there you go.
I've struggled for years to understand the meaning of this song. I don't want anyone to tell me the answer. It adds to the whole mysteriousness of Zep.
the soundtrack to my upcoming world trip :)

Sometimes I wish Slash could play like this. I know Slash is a terrific guitar player, but Page is pure awesomeness...
