  • what grade is the hill? It looks quite steep

  • Its a 3% grade

  • This loco is indredible. It is so small and yet so strong. And it exhales relatively little smoke.

  • cool!

  • This is the real life version of "the little engine that could" movie :)

  • Actually "reverse" running is to facilitate coal loading, not to mention crew comfort and visibility. Switchers spent about equal time running in either direction.

  • Coal storage box on the back of the cab?

  • Was this engine designed to be cab first or is it just running in reverse??

  • At 00:48 is that your cell phone ringing? :]

  • lol no its actually the rails squeaking. It could be a ringtone though, its annoying enough to qualify:P

  • I doubt a cell phone ringtone could be heard over that engine.

  • not a chance

  • for better visibility, and because it runs better in reverse.

  • Why is the little (yet POWERFUL) engine running cab first?

  • Great video, where was this filmed?

  • the Western Minnesota Steam Threshers Reunion in Rollag MN

  • OK, thanks.
