That was a really bittersweet ending, I'm very glad that Akiyuki got to return to normal and be with his loved ones, but, Nakiami is frozen in time for a 1,000 years. Has poor Yango been all by himself for the past nine years? That sucks, I love that kid! I want a sequel that takes place 1,000 after, starring Nakiami. (Great show otherwise, I hated those white-haired people though.)

Great anime~! I loved watching it. It has a fantastic compelling story and the characters evolve and are complex. It was great to watch. My favorite characters were Nakiami, Akiyuki, and Yango. =D

I can't believe how bad the ending was. The series was great right up until the final episode. There was virtually no resolution to any of the conflicts. The only conflict that came to a close was Tojiro & Ryuzo

The military is still in power, likely doing more experiments. Nakiami is sealed for 1000 years ( wtf? ). The hiruken emperor simply poofs away

What happened to Kujireka? What did Ryuzo have to do with the human forms?

Not sure how Akiyuki turned back because I'm pretty sure that rock that looked like it was crying was him too but who cares YAY :D

@Yuncius I know the rock was definitely Akiyuki because when Akiyuki is back his on the same hill the rock was on and you also notice that the rock is no longer there. As for him coming back that's a mystery but I think the ongoro, or how ever you spell it, had something to do with him coming back.

my fav was Haru then Hinokimaru. liked the little guys attitude :). The rest was of equal value i guess. Um they might make a sequel but i highly doubt it. First anime I have watched for the story and the characters more then the action scenes in awhile now.

I really enjoyed this.

I was hoping to see another spinning jump kick by Haru the whole show lol.
