If faith used evidence or knowledge to defend its claims, it would cease to be called faith, and instead called reason. Faith, by its very definition implies no scientific inquiry or evidence.

Well, as usual, Richard Dawkins' definition of "faith" is not one that would be recognized by any theologians past or present. Faith is not belief without evidence- on the contrary, it commences in evidence leading to a conviction of the mind. Look at Alister McGrath's "Dawkins' Delusion" for a refutation. Dawkins and his ilk are mirror-image fundamentalists; they merely reflect the religious fundamentalists.

@squirell1952 so what? Good you discovered this, better late than never. By the way, the name of Lucifer was identified with Satan, but it was also used in other meanings (e.g. the morning star). You can have a nice name, but this does not make you good automatically.

Ouch, Dawkins bundled buddhism with blind faiths... The buddha specifically said to question everything even buddhist teachings. He loses a few points in my rating score. Down to 23,124, now.

Actually, hold the point subtraction. In Mahayana Buddhism, there are Gods and Goddesses that rule the universe. This requires blind faith.
