  • love the base line love this song

  • Sheet music for this would be excellent..

  • I LOVE THIS !!!!!!!! THANK YOU !!!!!

  • Bones Malone solo.....FTW !!!!!! :D

  • RIP Al Rubin.

  • Alan Rubin will forever be Mr. Fabulous!

  • Hopefully Mr. Fabulous is jamming with the greats in the hereafter, along with Joliet Jake.

  • The song was over, but we want more! That is the test of a great performance. Thank You Alan, from a fellow trumpeter, RIP!

  • Just wonderful.

  • RIP Alan, you are one of the greats!!

  • You will be missed, Mr. Fabulous!

    R.I.P. ALAN RUBIN

  • Oh yes...I used to play this stuff in a band called One Nite Stand (all we ever did) based in Chapel Hill, NC. Exact same line-up (I was on Trombone most of the time. Everything from High School Proms to backing the Four Tops. Fun! Miss it!

  • RIP Mr.Fabulous

  • 6 people are Illinois Nazis

  • If I could play like that with a band like that I think i would NEVER leave the stage

  • 6 people couldn't hit it!

  • I worked as a recording engineer in NYC in the 80's on. Mr Wonderful, Lou Marini, Malone, George Young (Sax!) and Will Lee bass. What a bunch of No1 players!!!

  • @eltonjim Anyone can SAY that. For all we know you spent the 80's handing out balloons at McDonalds to support your crack habit. As for the musicians you mentioned, those NY, corporate studio guys tend to be a little overrated.

You might want to check out my band's new "Peter Gunn" video. We play for the love of making music, not for money.

  • I love this, do you know where you can get the music to this arrangement?

  • @saintsdavid2 It's pretty simple to get sheet music for the Peter Gunn Theme. most of what the trombone, the trumpet, and the sax were doing was improvisation, so no sheet music.

I find it's a lot more fun to just go with the flow and figure it out myself than learn sheet music. It gives the final performance more character.

  • @2davidstains I wouldn't worry about buying charts. It's always best to just go with your heart and not get bogged down with reading notes off a page. It will end up sounding stiff and contrived that way. As a professional musician, that's probably the best advice I can give you. See my band's new "Peter Gunn" video if you have any doubts what I say is true. Good luck and keep practicing!

  • I've played a few gigs with Bones and with Mr. Fabulous. Awesome guys. Youtube "Blues Brotherhood". We don't have footage up of the gig with Malone and Rubin, only one of the gigs we played with Bones. It's always fun playing music with living legends. I can't say enough great things about those two guys.

  • <3<3 this thème , thanksss whatiship!

  • Look at Donald Duck Dunn from 0:26 to 0:36 ! Haha, I love it!

  • Classic theme!

    =)

  • Alan (Mr. Fabulous) Rubin Trumpet.

  • The NBC orchestra ruled back then! Still does.

  • Man those were times, we're people could dance even to instrumental music and enjoyed improvisations etc.

  • @ccfliege Hey man that stuff still goes down today! Check out some Lettuce or soulive!

  • @MojofloMusic greyboy allstars!

  • im a 6th grader who plays trombone and i play in the high school jazz band,,,i hope i can be this good

  • Thats pretty good to be in a high school jazz band, although very hard to believe unless much talent level goes up in the few years that you. It will definately take alot to build a range past 2 octaves. I can play 6 now. I am taking private lessons though, and I am playing in a few symphonies at this time of year.

  • If you like it you can be great, practice as much as possible and even try different instruments. I think the key is to play music you enjoy. You're only young once so make the best of it.
