I noticed a lot of chatter about OnStar and I just wanted to give you a heads up on an OnStar sweepstakes that's going on. Anyone who has a Onstar button in their vehicle has a chance of winning a brand new GM vehicle, even if you aren't a current subscriber or don’t have an OnStar button. It's pretty easy, but you can get more info at the OnStar Youtube page.
If you have an immobilizer why would you need this particular system. Defeating the imobilizer is next to impossible and requires high technological know how to execute but even while you may possess the technical knowledge it wouls till take you close to 40 minutes to 1 hour to over ride it. And more over, if you had this expertise you'd be employed and making $100k + per year. so again, what the heck is with this On Star systems purpose other than to make more money from subsribers???

why would criminals report there own car stolen to onstar?? lol..it only works if the owner reports the car stolen to onstar...plus whos stupid enought to leave there keys in there car while running? lol

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe OnStar is included on all GM models, so yes - you should have OnStar on a Cadillac Escalade.

ON a $60,000+ SUV, it is. I've rented one in Florida before(for proof). OnStar is available on over 50 GM Vehicles, if I'm not mistaken.
