He is a defender, he is MEANT to impede the chances of scoring. That's his job and a job that Lucas Neill was doing very well throughout. The question is whether he did it legally or not. I think it is pretty much obvious to everyone (even Gattuso) that the referee got that decision wrong.

No wonder people don't take FIFA seriously. This is just another example of a dubious ref calls. There should be a rebutal of some sort by the refs after a game for some of the decisions, otherwise it leaves a suspect feeling in the minds of most viewers of the penalty call.
I now view this championship as probably fixed in some way.

Not only was it the last goal, IT WAS THE ONLY GOAL!! The referee was a complete wanker and deserves a good kick up the ass! Watch the replay and you KNOW that it was a bad decision and the game should have gone into extra time! UTTER CRAP!! GO AUSSIE!!
