This may seem out of topic, but I might (that's a big MIGHT) get a PS3 for Christmas. Before I do, I just want to know a few things: Ratchet and Clank Future series, Valkyria Chronicles, God of War III, Resistance series, Killzone series, Infamous series, The HD Collections, Disgaea series, Little Big Planet series, Uncharted Series. Are these PS3 exclusive games worth getting. For anyone who can reply, thank you for your kindness. :)
@HombreHonest From all the series you mentioned I've played all of them, maybe not all the games but I know the series well enough. Those are FANTASTIC, you have a lot of variety to choose from. I suggest to buy first the older (and cheap) ones before the recent, except Little Big Planet, you can skip the first one and jump sraight to 2.
I love how people celebrate that Ratchet & Clank, a game series that has changed very little over the years, gets a 9, but when Call of Duty, another game series that has changed little over the years, gets a 9, everyone acts like the fucking world is ending. look if you read the review it shows it got 9/10 everywhere except in graphics where it was 8.5/10. its not just one knocked of for aging formula its just how he sums it up. he adds it up and divides by 5 and rounds to the nearest 0.5 so 44.5 divide by 5 = 8.9=9. its not just one thing. still i do disagree with the score its just how it adds up.
@OptikResolutions I remember when my uncke had bought me my first PS2. It came with 2 games and a demo dvd. One just happened to be Ratchet and Clank and I fell inlove with the game haha.
Call of duty has nothing to do with this so why are you guys even mentioning it? This game got the same rating as COD so it makes no sense to say "-Still not Call of Duty". Also this game was great but tbh I don't feel the same joy as when I played the the first ratchet and clack so yeah the formula is not an unreasonable negative to the game.

Picked this up cheap the other day and have been playing since.Its just a really well made fun game.Im 21 and im loving it,so its not a strictly for kids game.

That's normal. Games like this will always be underrated (the category to like 6-14 years or just for fun), what game of such category do you know which is not underrated? 16+, 18+ games aren't normally underrated imo, because they're more realistic, etc., and the reviewers themselves like those, play and speak about those more. If reviewers were 6-14 year old kids you wouldn't say that game is underrated imho

@jengofrett it was the best the most fun and humorous R&C yet then the 1st, 2nd, a crack in time, gladiator, tools of destructions and quest for booty (haven't played PSP ones)
@teddy4dvids I know right? I've been playing R&C since I was very young, since I grew up on the Spyro series as well. Sure it's the same gameplay, but the combat is fun, the levels are varied and colorful, you have an interesting story with lots of humor, and fun weapons to play with. This guy thinks it's an aging formula, but Insomniac always keeps it fresh, that each new game is a new adventure. Compare this with Call of Duty, which is basically the same game over and over.

look if you read the review it shows it got 9/10 everywhere except in graphics where it was 8.5/10. its not just one knocked of for aging formula its just how he sums it up. he adds it up and divides by 5 and rounds to the nearest 0.5 so 44.5 divide by 5 = 8.9=9. its not just one thing. still i do disagree with the score its just how it adds up.

Call of duty has nothing to do with this so why are you guys even mentioning it? This game got the same rating as COD so it makes no sense to say "-Still not Call of Duty". Also this game was great but tbh I don't feel the same joy as when I played the the first ratchet and clack so yeah the formula is not an unreasonable negative to the game.

Seriously, this game can never get in the spotlight, because of over-hyped games, like Uncharted, CoD, and anything like that. About aging formula, I say it is better, that kids can play this game too, unlike some other games, and at least a 10-year-old child will not ask his mother: ,,Mum, what does b@tch mean?'' after playing

That's normal. Games like this will always be underrated (the category to like 6-14 years or just for fun), what game of such category do you know which is not underrated? 16+, 18+ games aren't normally underrated imo, because they're more realistic, etc., and the reviewers themselves like those, play and speak about those more. If reviewers were 6-14 year old kids you wouldn't say that game is underrated imho

Aging formula??? XD like some other guy said, if it aint broke dont fix it. The game-play is perfect and yet they still add more and more in each game, its remarkable. COD is the same damn game every single time, short ass campaigns with average story lines. The game should get 70% or less but IGN are too far up Infinity Ward's ass

On EVERY review of ANY game people compare that game to CoD, even if it isn't in the same genre (X_X). They say, "wth, lets compare this game that has absolutely nothing to do with CoD, with CoD ". I wish gamers would just lose this "CoD is overrated and we need to tell the world why at every opportunity we get", attitude. WE KNOW the gameplay is shallow, the story is short and the hype is too overblown. WE DON'T NEED TO BE TOLD EVERY 5 MINUTES!

The only negative thing he said is if you dont like the other style of gameplay in the previous ratchets then you wouldnt like this one. Which is understandable. He gave it a 9/10 which is an excellent score. He couldnt have done this anymore justice.

@teddy4dvids I know right? I've been playing R&C since I was very young, since I grew up on the Spyro series as well. Sure it's the same gameplay, but the combat is fun, the levels are varied and colorful, you have an interesting story with lots of humor, and fun weapons to play with. This guy thinks it's an aging formula, but Insomniac always keeps it fresh, that each new game is a new adventure. Compare this with Call of Duty, which is basically the same game over and over.
