  • I think it's interesting that in all American history-programs they make the French and Indian War look like an independent war, while it actually was a part of the Seven Years War

  • RON PAUL 2012

  • You can see the Civil War forming. The south had a lot of slaves and was Pro England while the north didn't want to be a part of England and didn't have much slavery.

  • One person is in the British Army

  • How the guns were still when fired what the hell those things kicked back like a fukkin mule

  • The American Revolution was one of the best battles fought by us americans.

  • BLAH BLAH BLAH they don't say 3 decent facts (NOT OPINIONS) in this

  • Where do these fools get their info? France never owned Canada - Get a grip and get it right.

  • @KevinVancouver2 France owned large pieces of Canada - why do you think they speak French in Quebec?

  • @Yehudittx Quebec was for a time a French Colony, but that was long before Canada became a Country and eventually, long before the American Revolution, Quebec had been won by the British.

  • boston home of the cards and the beans

  • the bean the boston bean with the boston bean the bean the british bean

  • Edmund Burke was an Irish stateman, born in Dublin, colonialism continues it seems

  • Untamed? Certainly not unoccupied, Native American Indians anyone? Any takers on that issue?

  • from 6:53 to 7:08 he talks about the triangular trade. i learned about it in the 5th grade 2 years ago

  • i really disagree with the brits ideals and points of view. and im sure they say bad things about the us behind our backs! thumbs up if you agree.

  • "Our belief in equality" tell that to the KKK

  • Those were brave men indeed. The likelihood of death in those kind of battles was far higher than survival. Yet, they stood shoulder to shoulder; both sides mind you. and exposed their bodies to fire from the enemy that HAD TO hit someone. I dont think I am that brave to march like them lads did into battle. Whatever shortcomings they had before that day, I say courage wasnt one of them. May they all Rest in Peace.

    peace.

  • Was that Mr. Feeny? LOL...(yes, i know...WIlliam Daniels, KITT etc.) but for us 90's kids it's Feeny, Fe-he-he-he-ny!!! :D

  • It would be great to travel back to those times, and see how open and free the world was........ not talking about humans nor their culture, but the vast lands untouched by us.

  • its the voice of feeny. 2:41

  • One Major Irrelevant fact misquoted Edmund Burke was IrIsh not English don't insult the man.

  • The modern day English are anglo saxon, decended from the germanic tribes (angles, jutes, saxons). The came to England in the 6th century after the romans had left or been killed off. The germanic tribes were from what it modern day north Germany, Denmark and Holland. The true Brits were the celts and were basically pushed west into wales or just killed. England actually gets its language and name from these tribes. Angleland - england (land of the angels)

  • @Sibs1990 Yes i agree, But the British had good relations with alot of Natives. You know the Natives fought with the British against the Colonials in the Revolution?? The Colonials wanted to expand the British never. Most Natives were exterminated by the Colonials in the Native Holocuast. There lands and riches were stolen. And U.S by law is British Colony just under There own rule and Goverment, The Colonials were still paying the King AFTER the revolutions, WHY?

  • America is still a British Colony!!!

  • @martynrobin121 And Britain it still a Roman one

  • @Fenix521 Very wrong! Britain gave birth to America, most Colonials were European or African slaves. The British were in America first! As for Britain the Romans invaded. The British were Celts and had been in "Britannia" for thousands of years, In America the Colonials were Europeans and Africans immigrants in a british colony.

  • its hard to listen to so-called professionals who just throw up the same words "liberty, freedom" etc, all revolutions are for that. forget about the ideals and talk about the real issues

  • SLAVES BUILD EMPIRES and slavery was never abollished it stil exists now all over the world there just treated alot better but still worked to death! the "indians" the native are the true americans all the rest are just europeaners

  • Before the War

How was life for the colonists during the decades before the war?

How did the colonists see themselves?

    What was Benjamin Franklin's profession?

The Enlightenment was the "The ideas of good minds guided by ____________."

Where was slavery common? What was the principal crop harvested by the slaves?

What was one of the reasons why the colonists clung (held on to) their association with the British in the mid 1700's?

  • Land was cheap then and worth something ,now its priced high and worth nothing. They had freedom we will never know, and a free life we shall never see.

  • @rebel1861ky They also had no electricity, shitty medical care, and a life of hard manual labor. You can get in your car tomorrow and drive to California, they could not leave the farm out of fear of not raising enough food for the winter. They were tied to the land in more ways than you know, life was hard back then. Don't over glorify what you have never experienced.

  • @njdevil281 Well maybe, lates see ,growing up I remember no running water ,no showers,or bath tub,out house ,growing garden,no money for doctors when sick, fished to help bring in meat in spring, and hunted to bring in meat for winter, getting hog head and making souse meat out of it to eat,ect,ect,ect...

  • @rebel1861ky and now?

  • @njdevil281 I still prefer that way of living over the 21 century,I didnt change from living that way till I was24,thats when I got married. Most of it I still do.I know what hard work is,I lived it my self,I even dug grave by hand ,not with a back hole.I did that for seven years .Some where even my on family members.I hunt with a 1777 Charleville flintlock musket.I do not like hunting with anything else.I know how to trap, sat twig, and trot lines, make my on cloths, what about you.

  • @rebel1861ky You are just angry because the South lost.

  • @rebel1861ky Don't let these films gas you up. They make it seem like this to avoid a boring film that students can actually watch without falling asleep. I am sure many of the examples we are given today are extremely exaggerated in lue of good story telling.

  • @rebel1861ky Until we advance in space exploration, but that seems millions of years away x.x

  • 7,314 views that is pretty bad

  • @dosomethin888 they rather drink beer, smoke weed and watch football!!!!!!

  • @GoHardMG And why not. Can you think of a better way to live your life? Its at least peaceful.

  • @eurasianchica we need to tell this to our great socialist revolutionary comrade obama

  • ''The American Revolution was the most important thing in American History'' OMFG how bloody ill educated can you be, obviuosily !!.

  • @XxGREATxBRITAINxX what would YOU say was the most important thing in American history? Personally, I think the Civil war runs a very, very close second to the American revolution for a variety of reasons........
