Your comment is even less interesting and which part of this lead you to believe I was showing off? Was it the slow motion parts or that this video has "lesson" in the title? If you want to see me show off, watch a performance video. And regarding "nasty comments on other people videos" you are again mistaken because I simply don't do that. I built a web site with nearly 5,000 free videos for anyone to learn from and ask for nothing in return, how are you helping others to learn?
@vanderbilly My apologies. the person who left the nasty comments was deadder. Whoever he is, he left a bunch of nasty comments insulting people. I sent my comment to the wrong person. Once again, sorry.
Another great Lesson. I appreciate the fact that you never dumb down a song for the sake of a begineer.
Truthax When you have to be spoon fed tech that should be second nature for a song at this level...well, it is beyond your current ability anyway. Practice on easier songs until your actually at a level that you can attempt this.
Think of climbing a ladder, we all start at the first rung, and progress up 1 rung at a time. If you are at say, rung 3, and attempt a rung 12 song... well
sounds good but i think you got too much of that effect on in the begginging...you cnt really hear the notes individually....but im learning this song ad that was great help man
Im trying to pick up the chords in the bridge, but I cant get the second chord because the first to frets of your guitar are cut off in the video. Any help I'd appreciate it.
Anyone with a guitar that doesn't break after one strum, and a decent amp can sound good. The tone is in the fingers my friend. I have an Agile Les Paul copy and it's wonderful! I saved an arm and a leg too. Don't let the gear tell you who, and what are good.
I think Stinger may be right about the chromatic starting on a B but hey this was really really good and educational. Thanks to you I can ask my band to give this a go!
close, but one obvious mistake...The chromatic ascention before the octave decention starts on a B not C as you are instructing. Watch Jimmy play it on the Black Crows video to see what I mean.
GREAT lesson!!!.if you would have had a mic, it'd of been good if you spoke out the ascending chord progression names as you played up the neck, but that's relatively minor.nice and clear video and visably angled fingering by yourself.. i prefer your clear, non distorted tone for lessons. A++ lesson..thanks,man.much appreciated.
rock on! there's no substitute for great musical taste, and to me, you play some covers of what i consider some of the 1st tier, greatest ever rock guitarists in rock history!!to me, page's "production" values(not to mention his brilliant composition skills) on albums were as innovative as hendrix was to the electric guitar!my 2 cents.
great playing.. tone sucks but the guitar is nice

TruthAxe...I think it's a great lesson...you just have to use your own brain and put some effort in. what do you want to be spoon fed like a baby?

Thanks man!! Real good.

Not a good lesson.
Get on mic and explain the fret voicings. Say what the chords are and the like. Say where you're hammering on a pulling off and the like.
Now that would be a lesson.

Good instrucional video. Also - nice parachute pants. I think I owned some of those in the 80's along with my beloved string tie.
