Well, to be completely honest they have a couple of ideas like tort reform and competition across state lines. But the CBO analyzed their plans and found that they would be practically useless in reducing costs, premium prices or the number of uninsured. Competition across state lines would just allow all the insurers to flock to low regulation states and continue business as usual. New companies would just act like the old ones.

My public high school performed so poorly it was shut down a couple of years after I graduated. It was such a violent school that all of the lockers were removed to prevent students from hiding weapons in them. Many of the students who left the school were funtionally illiterate. None of this means the government is incapable of providing good schools, as your experience can attest to, but many districts need a major over haul. It greatly depends on your neighborhood and income tax bracket.

The 1976 flu 'outbreak' was a disaster, admittedly. The vaccine used for the flu had an extremely rare side effect; it caused Guillain-Barre syndrome in roughly 1 out of 100,000 patients--an effect too small to be detected in even large-scale clinical trials. Out of the 40 million vaccinated, 500 were paralyzed and 25 died.
Ironically, the flu strain turned out to be noncontagious: only a couple dozen people got it, and only 1 died. The vaccine ended up killing more people than the flu.
However, even though we know in hindsight that the 1976 vaccinations were a mistake, there was no way for anyone to know that back then, so the scientists made the right choice. Flus tend to be much more fatal than 1 out of 100,000, after all.

The point of declaring a pandemic is that it redirects funds toward developing a vaccine and setting up clinical trials. The flu shot isn't a scam at all, it's a highly effective way of reducing flu deaths (among those who actually take it). No there's nothing wrong with investigating, but there's a lot wrong with not investigating critically.

Well, to be completely honest they have a couple of ideas like tort reform and competition across state lines. But the CBO analyzed their plans and found that they would be practically useless in reducing costs, premium prices or the number of uninsured. Competition across state lines would just allow all the insurers to flock to low regulation states and continue business as usual. New companies would just act like the old ones.

PH insurance companies have had decades to decide to compete across state lines. Don't blame any federal regulation on that. There's no way such a treatment even could work; cancer is caused by the breakdown of mechanisms that limit cellular reproduction, and eating raw vegetables isn't going to have any impact on unregulated cell growth. Gerson's Therapy has been repudiated by the scientific community.
Eating healthy is good for the heart, but veggies aren't a magic bullet.

The government may not be the most efficient organization in the world, but at least there is a certain amount of responsiveness built-in in a democratically elected governmental system, whereas the health insurance companies currently answer to no one except for their shareholders, who are only concerned with making money off of the company and not helping people who are sick. So, I do have to believe that the government is the lesser of the two evils in this case.

My public high school performed so poorly it was shut down a couple of years after I graduated. It was such a violent school that all of the lockers were removed to prevent students from hiding weapons in them. Many of the students who left the school were funtionally illiterate. None of this means the government is incapable of providing good schools, as your experience can attest to, but many districts need a major over haul. It greatly depends on your neighborhood and income tax bracket.

Boots, the immunity that vaccine manufacturers have is actually very limited. They aren't immune if they, for example, forge trial results, or fail to include information that they discover through testing which implies the vaccines are harmful.
The immunity is solely in case a manufacturer does the full drug trials, doesn't detect any problem with the vaccine, but then when the vaccine is put into wide usage it is found that the vaccine has some rare side effect that the trials missed.

The 1976 flu 'outbreak' was a disaster, admittedly. The vaccine used for the flu had an extremely rare side effect; it caused Guillain-Barre syndrome in roughly 1 out of 100,000 patients--an effect too small to be detected in even large-scale clinical trials. Out of the 40 million vaccinated, 500 were paralyzed and 25 died.
Ironically, the flu strain turned out to be noncontagious: only a couple dozen people got it, and only 1 died. The vaccine ended up killing more people than the flu.

On that page there is a link to a PDF titled 'Vaccine Ingredients sorted by Ingredient'. That document lists all vaccine ingredients, what vaccines their in, and their purpose.

The US and most of the world are facing not a debt problem but a debt crisis. When lenders of the world loose confidence in public bonds it will be sudden and unexpected.

They say thimerosol is a preservative, not mercury, because thimerosol ISN'T MERCURY. It's a molecule containing mercury. Calling it mercury as if that were all it was is as absurd as calling water oxygen. The regular flu shot CAN protect those 35,000 people a year. The vast majority of people who die from the flu are people who don't get shots.
The point of declaring a pandemic is that it redirects funds toward developing a vaccine and setting up clinical trials. The flu shot isn't a scam at all, it's a highly effective way of reducing flu deaths (among those who actually take it). No there's nothing wrong with investigating, but there's a lot wrong with not investigating critically.
