@kebyonatin I don't use a tele so I don't have detailed input on that one.

Generally, more rock players use a strat and more country users play a tele. There are more rock users playing teles these days but usually with a humbucker installed.

It's really a matter of taste, which one works better for you.

I would give each a test drive at your local music store and get a feel for what you like better.

@Taygoo15 Buddy Holly, Jimi Hendrix, Richie Sambora (Bon Jovi) all have used Strats for rock. Strats can be versatile depending on how you play it and the effects you use.
