Most race starts are great, I have had the privillege of marshalling on point 1 of a big motorcross track, watching 50 riders bearing down on my position trying to get their hole shot in a gap big enough for 10 abreast, the roar of engines as they all blast past, less than 1yard from me, the shower of dust, mud and stones as they go through, and hopefully, a nice clear track afterwards because they all did get through, its fantastic, thrilling, and unlike almost anything else I have experienced.
No, at least not in 07 or 08. You see that bike on a ramp at the start of the video, thats how they get on to the beach from the pits, and its only really wide enough for 1 bike at a time, though 2 abreast will just fit. A small quad might get down it, but I havent seen any race (yet). I have seen a quad down there near the start, dont think it was racing, I think it was there for fund raising purposes.
Love the footage. The start off is awsome. Enjoyed.
