that thing is Imense !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I love it !!!! how did you get the gear to go up in the correct way ? The way the landing gear goes up on the B-1B is so complex i love to know how you got it to retract properly
I'd love you to hook me up to one of them !! Out of curiosity how much would you charge me for it ??
man you are some craftsman. i fly turbine jets and just am amazed of the talent you have in building. like milling your own gear is incrediable. cant wait to see it when its done...
that's fucking deadly! Good choice on the B-1 too...it's a very nimble design...a bomber that flies like a fighter. How much are you gonna be charging for one of those?
I got my resin and glass yesterday and man was it a late nite last nite got the top of the fuse fineshed going to do the botton today and start priming monday
55lbs thats my story and im sticking to it! NO I realy dont have a clue Im gonna do all I can to keep it under 100lbs dry and jet fuel is 7lbs a gallon and will have at least 5 gallons on bord thats 35lbs
dang. that plane is huge. reminds me of the guy in Missouri making a huge SR-71 like you here. Will love to see that thing get off the ground. After you get done doing it as an 1/8th scale, try doing it as 1/12 scale, and you can kit it out into the market. 1/8 alone, will very likely get an article done in JETs as well, yet alone make everyone's jaw's drop.
nice work I have my profile B1B ready for motors for a test bed on how to make the canards work on a gyro to help the CG and center of lift change. I am thinking this is going to be the best way to fix the problem with the least amount of drag and wight. so if that works the way I am thinking I'll have the problem solved and would give you this info
If you fly it at War Birds Over Denver this summer
Thanks for your suport and pleasnt coment.I am hopeing to have one flying in 90 days problt sooner but dont wanna make that promas.dad and I do this full time so it wont take us too long.
looks pretty cool

i bet it sucks know that you spent 3 weeks to cut out all those bulkheads and such and then you get a mold from texas
mike25620 2 years ago
I refuse to believe that it took only a week to sheet this thing ITS MASSIVE!!!
JoseKagan 2 years ago
where did you get the mold.
BrGuRl2012 2 years ago
if you meen the foam plug I have a friend in texas that has a cnc machine and he cut it out of blue foam and im makeing a mold from that
hornitpilot 2 years ago
@hornitpilot if you use multiple engines do you have to sync them to prevent asymmetrical thrust..... if so how....

Where did you find those electric actuators? I'm working on a 1/8 scale a-7, working on plug right now, but those look perfect to power the gear.
Upman1317 3 years ago
yoall dont listend vvery well do ya? The foam was "CNC'd" by a realy big and expensive milling machine. These guys are using the foam as a mold.
Anyway, very very cool! looking forward to seeing it complete!

That's is a very nice looking gear.
We are missing all the fun !
Where is the video showing all the bulkheads in place and how to cover them step by step with the blue foam ??
The materials, construction steps, and the process is what would make the lessons interesting.
daveroussel 3 years ago
Does that blue foam come in one piece or is it made up of idividual sheets.
What's the chemical name of that foam?
JustWonderingHowToDo 3 years ago
