    Not if you use "iron woody" or "jump stretch" bands. They go all the way up to 80-200 lbs (resistance curve) per band.

  • Really well put together video. I recenlty moved out to the mountains and I regularly workout and there is no gym within 40 miles, and since bought some resistance bands.

    Great video, gives me a number of exercises to add to my workout.

  • Can anyone recommend any good brand that lasts forever and won't snap or go slack ? I am really excited about the idea but I am afraid the repetitive use would eventually break the bands or get them loose and slack ?

  • @hayderatrah ive used quite a few. if your a beginner the everlast resistance band might cut it, but in my opinion the absolute best quality ones ive used are called lifeline. they sell them at the sports authority and on their website. very heavy duty good quality.

  • These explosive workouts are not for beginners guys. You could hurt yourself if you don't do them in proper form.

  • @korea902 Not really. They are best for explosives movements. So if you are a mixed martial artist, or play sports like baseball and basketball you can really benefit from these. Another thing about it is they are like dumbells, in which they work stabilizers. But provide resistance at the same time. Any serious athlete should being doing at least two Resistance bands workout a week.

  • @korea902 yea they do help, but definition of muscles only show when u have a low body fat precentage about 10 %. resistance bands help ur muscles get stronger and bigger

  • @TidusL2 As long as your straining it doesn't matter what you use. You can do pushups, pullups and situps and get fit if you eat right. I use bands cuz i have a few injuries and simply can't safely use weights. Don't know when my shoulders gonna give. But the bands have kept muscle on me. I spent years thinking weights were the only way but i kept getting injuries and tears. Since ive used bands and bodyweight exercised i've NEVER been hurt since.

  • Ok... so i did this workout and let me just say it was INTENSE! It looks so much easier than it actually is. Do 20 reps and 4 sets and youll feel the burn and be SOO WINDED!

  • Great video. I have previously done all these exercises...needed someone who looks as good as you do to confirm what I was doing. SUGGESTION: do a DVD about your whole routine with bands...I would buy it..Good Luck!

  • Good routine. Just bought some new bands and tried it out. Boy was I tired after that! Now all I have to do is make sure I do it regularly. Thanks Scott. Very helpful indeed.  If only there had been the Internet and YouTube about 30 years ago I would have looked fantastic! Now at 52 I look pretty good but only because of videos like this and people willing to share like Scott.

  • nothing is better than push ups for chest and arms muscles.... if you have an iPhone or iPod go download an app called Hundred Pushups. Its free and its a program that you have to follow. It's a 6 weeks program. First you do a test for it then you start from the week that you're at depending on how many push ups you can do at once. I could do 50 before it!and after i finished I could do a freaking 100!!! and that was only in 2 weeks because I was already on week 4 for the amount that I did first

  • I'm 16. I been using a 30 ib resistance band for a long time. Biceps are huge! Today I bought a 60 ib resistance bands. biceps will be even bigger : ) The girls are gonna love me.. Now that I have a 30 ib and 60 ib I can now add more excercies.. Now it's time to get a big chest, tris, nice abs, and etc. Resistance bands is the way to go.. Just add some weight lifting in it. : )

  • @mydanezu Dont know what kind hes using there but if you go with bodylastics you wont go wrong. I use mine 6 days a week right now and have had em for 3 years and havent broken one yet.

  • You don't necessarily need that same pillar. I used my bed post for those exercises.

  • @jimmyk127He suggest in this video that you do 20 reps of each exercise 3 times. As a beginner, I am only doing the exercise once because it hurts too much to go on. If you were going to do one exercise at a time and do it as he suggests, it would be 60 reps. As far as rest, I rest about 30 seconds. If you are hurting too much to continue, I would stop until I felt ready to start again. You don't want to strain your muscles. He says to take 30-60 seconds to rest, but rest as much as you need to.

  • He is not strong or naturally strong either. He is fit, so he looks good but nothing more than that. These videos you make doesn´t help that much, if you have special excercise machines and tools then you will benefit from this on a small degree. Next time you make a video try to make it beneficial to everybody by making home excercises or excercises that won´t demand special tools and machines.
