This is my favorite Fire Emblem game. It features my favorite Nintendo character, as stated in my top 100 Nintendo characters video. Many of my favorite characters are featured in this game anyway. I am also a big fan of the soundtrack.

Ok, I got the patch i put the ips file in the folder with the smc file, they both have the same name. But it STILL wont work! Any suggestions?

P.S. - I use Snes9x , is this like a zsnes exclusive thing or something?

Both emulators should work. Try renaming both the SMC and IPS files something very short, ie FE4.smc and FE4.ips.

I am a big Fire Emblem fan, and I have been trying to play as many of them as I can. I was wondering if you could tell me how to play Genealogy of the Holy War in English. If you can, please share your secrets.

Sure thing buddy. First, you'll need a SNES Emulator, I use SNES9x 1.51 for recordings, but I also like ZSNES. Next, you'll need to find a FE4 ROM, which after a few google searches can be found easily. Finally, you'll need an english language patch, which you can get at Serene's Forest website. The .ips patch file and the .smc ROM file must have the same name (EG FE4.smc and FE4.ips).

Yeah, some of the characters have a million different translations for their names. I kinda prefer Langobolt myself.

Classes have no branching paths and are promoted at the main castle at level 20, with the level cap being 30. No items are needed for it.

Weapon Levels can not be increased with weapon use, but they can be altered with some of the children depending on who you make whose father. For example, Mages have C ranks in all anima spells and a B when they promote, but if you have a mage with minor Fala blood, it gets increased to a B, and when he promotes to an A.

There are no support talks, but there is limited support in the form of lovers and leadership stars. For every 1 star the lord has, everyone in 3 spaces gets 5% dodge and hit rate boosts. Lovers and Siblings within 3 spaces of each other will give a 10% hit/dodge boost as well. The Charisma Skill gives all characters within 3 spaces a 10% hit/dodge boost.
