Brian Lara was the only player in Sachin's era who was comparable to him. Sachin scored a century in test in Australia way back in '92 and at Lords in 90.

So no question of him not being able to score runs on foreign pitches.

Lara had support from his fast bowlers like Ambrose,Walsh and batsmen like Hooper, chanderpaul and Jacobs.Sachin carried whole Indian team on his shoulders for whole of the 90s until Saurav and dravid came
