  • If you dont like what you are seeing then change , show the world that you are not like that but dont go into slandering and seeing racist shit because it only shows the world what hamas has been saying al those years . And yes , some palastinians have a normal life in Isreal but they feel like theyre spirit has been taken away from them , what kind of life is that ?

  • Right now the arabs are also being mistreated by theyre own goverments , the people who are in those goverments are money hungry and will sell theyre souls for dollars ( this includes Iraq!!) why do you think the arab spring has come ? . natanyahu maybe does not phisaclly beat you up but just see what happens when you try to help a palastinian , you are in a worst condition then those arabs who are fighting for theyre freedom because theyre mind is free from govermentall bias .

  • Did not all the great prophets say that you should show kindness to your enemy because that shows them that you are better manered . secondlly , what a load of BS that palastinians are badlly treated in arab countries . they might not have a perfect condition but atleast they are treated like human beigns (they dont get beaten for no reason ).

  • first of all I really admire these girls because they are fighting the ocupation by showing the world whats going on ( dont tell me theyre is no occuption because I have seen it wih my own eyes ) . Who are you to take away a peoples identity ? and believe me just because hamas atacks you it does not justify what you do to the innocent of their socity and even puts you in the same catogory as hamas which is terrorism .

  • Fantastic to see Ashira calling it her city. Bravo, Ashira! Enough of this 'drang nach osten' by the brutal regime of Netanyahu. Jerusalem is your city too!

  • It was really nice seeing old Jerusalem, every time I go to Israel I can't go in those areas b/c it is to dangerous. To bad there was not peace between the two people then peoples business in old Jerusalem would be doing allot better b/c tourists like me and people from Israel would go and buy.

  • I'm only 5 minutes in to it so far...and I feel compelled to mention the young lad on the left at 4.51

  • More liberal/Arab (muslim) Biasm. Israel (which includes Gaza, the West Benk, JERUSALEM [THE ETERNAL CAPITAL] and Palestine) Is OUR LAND! You want a land, go back to Jordan! Prior to 1967, when God granted us victory, the Palestinain people were Jordan citizens. Walid Shoebat, a former P.L.O. Terrorist can back me up on this! The unholy koran even states that the Jews will have their land, and God's Holy word (the Bible) even states this! Israel is my land, it does not belong to the Palestinians

  • lol u say we in isreal are bad ppl

but look on the hamas and other group and leaders in the arab world

Look at Iran, a country we do dont have anything with it still wants to kill us with a atom boom

And knowing that if he use a bomb is going to kill every Arab in Israel and its borders

i work with arabs in isreal and thay got bigger houses that me and thay get a lot of thing from the country and thay are good ppl thay work hard

but some ppl just dont want to work so thay are crying....

  • I like your videos very very much.....but believe me there will be never peace!

    Ιησούς Χριστός Νικά

  • very ambitious project. I wish i had faster connection to the net. i would load it all down within a few minutes and watch the rest of the week.

    Makes me feel homesick.

  • why are they speaking in english? it's completely unnatural. that's not a very good method if you're willing to represent reality in palestine, is it?

  • @gsemerene

I think that the audience is English. Do you speak arabic??? I thought it was well done. Excellent work!

  • The bit about "the heavy burden of Israeli taxes" is a little misleading... the guy is just complaining about basic municipal taxes (someone has to collect the garbage), water and electricity bills. I don't think anyone expects these things to come free!

As for "real" taxes - I'd truly be surprised if he actually pays any income tax.

Plus, why have 8 kids if you can't support them...?

  • @schulgasser and who told you the Jerusalem municipality gives Palestinians any SERVICES??? They are forced to pay taxed to only preserve their status as RESIDENTS of the city! Go to Palestinian neighborhoods and compare to that with the Israelis'!!! Palestinians contribute 38% of the municipal budget and barely receive 10%!!! Taxes they are forced to pay are used to build ISRAELI ILLEGAL SETTLEMENTS on Palestinian private lands.

  • You need to open your eyes; Muslims & Christians live in peace in Jordan, Lebanon, Iraq, Egypt and many Arab countries.

You need to stop your Anti-Semitic thinking of all Arabs are Muslims, and those Muslims who lived in Palestine / Israel are the descendents of Christians and Jews, not the Jewish converts of other countries.

  • @jojokhader

live in peace in lebanon and egypt? no they dont.... and about other arab countries like saudi arabia where it is ilegal to build churches? I dont say that Israel is good with the treatment of palestine but dont tell bullshit about minorities living well in arab countries.

  • @doritela2008

When East European trash converts to Jewish, they claim the land is theirs, stop it.

You are not a Semitic Jew, you are a East Euro. rejects.

  • @Cradyable

It was proven genetically that less than 13% of european Jews have no roots to Israel. It was proven that European Jews are more close genetically to arab Jews and some palestinians than european non jews

  • b9AcE: focus and tightening is the difference between a comprehensible, interesting piece and a vlog. Just my opinion. I wanted this to be better and think it could be. A slow pace is fine if the material is interesting enough to carry it off. Perhapsp you know the subject so well that you can't see it through the eyes of others who don't know it as well.

  • those children who are taught to be shahids and want to be free in paradise are not there? Oh such humanic film!!! imight even believe you. You started the war against Israel so dont complain when Israel protects itself!!! i can believe that those who bombed the metro in London were able to produce the same shit like you produce all over Europe. The Hamas that gets hundreds of millions from Europe should take care of you, in the end darlings, you elected them.

  • @gingerXLL you don't know anything about reality so it's better not to make a fool of yourself! You need to live in Palestine for years before your likes can understand what is true. And if you really believe Palestinians started the "war" then you need to spend many years READING real history and remembering how "israel" came to exist in the first place and what happened to millions of Palestinians for that to happen! Palestine is UNDER OCCUPATION... not in a war against a counterpart smartie!

  • Your title doesn't really make any sense; it references a romantic film comedy, which this certainly is not.

Desperately needs sound mixing--background music, which is completely unrelated to anything, drowns out dialogue.

Needs to be edited -- tightened and focused in order to make whatever statement you're trying to make. Right now, it's just random.

Friends asked me to watch and I was ready to like it. But it was not at all what I expected with Abdullah Schleifer's name on it. Sorry.

  • @mamazabakaka: I thought "sleepless" was also because living in a occupied land such as Palestine causes anxiety and therefore sleeplessness.

    Just my interpretation though.

I agree about the sound mixing being a problem.

I don not agree about needing to be "tightened and focused".

True, in the world of today most things are MTV-edited so that they only show the highlights of everything.

That does not mean it is the only way though.

I like the slow pace, making me feel almost like I am there...

  • I agree with "rikkl" its a V-log not a reality show... and then I can see how Israeli Soldiers roam in the old city of Jerusalem in side wall..!!!! with their weapons not meant for peaceful areas, but for war zones,,,,!! so it means they are provoking Palestinians most of them who live in the old city..everyday and every moment.. and Let them feel that you are under our occupation...!!!!

  • @kasheerkoshur You are crazy to think that those guns are for Occupying Palestinians. There are soldiers all over Israel proper who do their best to keep order over everyone. Checkpoints, guns, and security guards are a part of Israeli society as well.

That guy complaining about 300 dollars for electric and water bills a month, in the old city of Jerusalem, some of the highest property value in the state, what a silly man. Beautiful bags though, I would definitely support him when I get back.

  • @KosherAsian maybe it's not so silly when he lives in one old room with his whole family that he is NOT ALLOWED to even renovate! Go to the Muslim Quarter in the Old City and look how Palestinians are forced to live - in a policy to drive them away! Look at the services your municipality "provides" and the policies it imposes.

  • Beautiful!

  • I like that you're showing Palestine, Israel, as it is..

I don't like some of the silly comments posted here.

Btw: google sent this to me-- it comes up as number one video from Gaza/Palestine today!

You should be proud of yourself for that! I'll keep watching.

  • I like this idea, but don't understand why you call it a reality show. It's a group Vlog, narrated by you, with your own group perspective.

On a reality show we expect to see disagreements and different perspectives from the characters.

Nothing wrong with a Vlog, but just play it like it is.

  • Wow the first girl looks ma cute.. i like how she looks.. gorgoues girl..

  • Good first episode, I wish you all the best (From Dubai)

  • Thanks! I will look for it soon! And I realized it was J-Post that had the article. I don't usually read this newspaper so I should have remembered! ANYWAY I am rambling... take care.

  • hi Kristian the shop is in Tariq al Wad if you go down from Damascus gate you keep going straight and take the turn on the left after all the stairs and you keep going straight as if you were heading towards Souk il Qatanin and the wailing wall you will find the shop on your right hand side ! good luck finding it the bags are very nice !

  • Hi, I live in Jerusalem and wanted to visit the leather store, was it on Bab El-Hadid road? I laughed when the leather shop owner talked about Israeli taxes... I think they are killing everyone!! I don't get why they are so high! Anyway, let me know where the shop is located. Saw an article in Haaretz about the show and thought I would take a look. Take care.

  • i think it would be better for the girls to talk arabic with each others and do subtitles , they sounded so over acting speaking english

  • We appreciate your idea and comment, but just to note: Arabs don't NEED "sleepless in Gaza...and Jerusalem" to make them aware that occupation, annexation and siege are oppressive but the Palestinians preserve their right to humanity, which is the point of this series and therefore it is intended precisely for an English-speaking audience. However, subtitles will follow in the very near future.

  • @SleeplessinGaza you do realize that there is a naval siege on gaza because there is an extreamist terrorist orginization bent on destorying israel? you want busses to blow up every day after the so called 'peace agreement' in '92? are you really that blind?

  • @SleeplessinGaza What opression? The oppresion my family faces by terrorists in Gaza bombing Sderot every chance they get? What oppression, the very fact that Israel Gives you aid? The fact that YOUR CHAMAS TERRORIST GOVERNMENT TREATS YOU LIKE GARBAGE? I've seen photo's of Gaza (courtesy of Walid Shoebat), and whats truly going on! Israel (the God given nation) is not perfect, but we are not the monsters you claim we are! Walid Shoebat,& nonie Darwish are truly two people you need to listen to!

  • Great, Ashira!! You should start a filmmaker/journalist network from CRS! Looking forward to seeing more of you, your colleagues and your mom! Mazal tov, mabruk!

  • Outstanding! I agree with a previous comment: tone down the music when the dialogue is going on. It's hard to hear them talking sometimes. Other than that, congrats! Keep it up!

  • Excellent intro, well done everyone.

  • congrats it lived up to the expectations can't wait for the next one

  • Hi,

It would be easier to understand the dialog if the music level was lowered. Thanks.

  • very nice video. mabruk.
