BCA league rule, this is an illegal shot. Anytime you have a cue ball frozen to another ball, you must hit the Cue ball with an elevated cue and hit it at an angle. If the cue ball at any time follows the object ball and the center of the cue ball passes the center of the frozen ball, it is a foul...

APA Rules allow this shot, BCAPL Rules do not.

@JeffBroski BCA rules state as long as you perform a legal stroke you can shot in the direction of a legal object ball that is frozen to the cue ball. in this video it would be considered a legal stroke because the direction the cue struck the cue ball was at an angle causing the cue ball to hit the object and to follow through the ball and not react and return to hit the cue, or the cue push the force through the cue ball and into the object ball.

I see a lot of people try to masse but they have the cue at a near 90 degree angle. Forty - fifty degrees is all you need for a basic masse. Anything higher than that is for crazy stuff like a masse-draw.

Great shot. If the balls are frozen and you elevate your cue it isn't considered a foul in the international WPA rules. A foul shot is when you push a object ball with the cue ball while while your cue is contacting the cue ball, and with a masse the contact is minimum. A full both contact has a nasty sound effect, that you can spot when you do this incorrectly.

@soffitguy8 It is a foul if you pot an opponents ball. Doesn't matter what ball you hit first. It's a nice shot but in most leagues it would lose you the game.

In most leagues it isn't a foul to pocket an opponents ball, if you hit yours first. Anyway in the international rules, I compete under in Europe.

no it's not a foul cuz he didnt scratch, he hit the 8 ball first, as long he gets hit ball in, it is perfectly fine to get ur opponent's balls in.
