So mabey he got the idea to mix his Undertaker persona and his personal life together to help his character to become imune to what was goin on. He was awsome as the deadman, but he mabey wanted a badass character that no one can possibly deal with, plus witht the help of Kane as BoD, he was nearly unstopable.

During the attitude era he was at his scariest Coorporate Ministry shit.

He just showed up 1 night dressed like that for his comeback. He "dies" and "comes back" evolved. When the Rock/HHH did the Iron Man match that's the first time he did it. He had to evolve. Everybody had the attitude in they're promos but him. He didn't come back as the Dead Man gimmic until his rematch with Kane at Wrestlemania hope this helps if not reply back. When he was the "American Badass" those promos were cool.
