so I gotta go for Sundance. I promised myself the past 2 years that in January, I would be in Park City, Utah (Sundance Film Festival home) and I would be screening my film!! And both times I've had to pull myself out of a deep depression about NOT going. So this year I told myself I would TRY. If I don't get in (this time) that's okay... but I have to TRY. And try I am!!! I'm busting my butt trying and I feel better about the whole thing. Thanks for sharing this!!!!

This is a great blog Alonzo. I love your stories... very wise. I feel this today because of my trying to make the late deadline for the Sundance Film Festival on Sept. 28th as brought up a lot of fear in me. I met with my producer today and bless her heart but sometimes she looks at me like, "This girl is crazy". lol And I agree... I am...but I feel like if I only try the things I can already do then what the hell is that??

Pressure is good. It's your friend. It helps you focus only on what's doable and not some runaway train of thought. It also helps you focus on creating solutions to get finish. It also tests your skills. If you can do something good in little time you are great.
