  • >The ending narration was cheesy and anticlimactic.

    >All the bills were ripped, I don't know what Japan is like, but I think that you used the same bills throughout the video.

    >"Here is your wallet." "Thank you." "Bye." If my wallet was taken by that guy I'd talk to him and ask him why he didn't give the damn wallet back in the first place.

  • There`s an album from explotions in the sky which has a really similar name: "the EARTH is not a cold dead place"

  • @alanboro YESSSSSSS

that is actually how i ended up at this video

i thought i'd watch it for its title..

I loved this video and the ending summed it all up very carefully

    thanks for making this

  • i dont get this one.. yo what kind camera you use hv30?

  • this would be really original if it wasnt already done in 2001 (vanilla sky).

  • im lost

  • that was interesting =)

though, I gotta admit I kinda got lost, bit the editing, directing and the way videos were taken, camera angles and all are really good.. I find that amazing ^_-

  • nice vid anson, altho i kinda don't really get the whole cellphone and the guy part. anyhow see you in math class. ps. i'm carolyn NOT caroline

  • uhhh...I didn't tell you to watch this one CaroLYN.

  • Just one thing, which my friend and I are both suggesting, the theme you are trying to bring out is not very assertive, it actually took me some time to fully understand the whole story as an audience. But anyway, apart from that it's really good. Very creative.

  • i havent watched the whole thing but being assertive is not what videos benefit from, i just enjoyed this peaceful video

  • finish this one and watch the others on my profile(please)!

  • Hey Anson, this is Michael from last year. I like your clip, and I feel you've improved much from last year. Sorry for not being able to give your any technical comment (I dunno anything in filming). I just feel this film is really smooth and comfortable for watching. And your deep thoughts definitely added colour to it. Is this for competition or coursework? Keep them coming.

  • Hi! Thank you, thank you. Hmm, I didn't like this film as much as the films I did last year...the film kind of lacks focus at times. Anyway, it was done purely for fun, I was going to submit it into competitions but I missed the deadlines. I have two short films coming..so keep watching and keep commenting!

  • I love your leading lady. She has some talent. I agree with the comment about the audio. A good way to fix that in iMovie is just record some background noise via video, and then unlink the audio/video...You can mess with the volume and that adds so much to it. I like this. Keep them coming.

  • thanks for your comment!

I am filming a new short..it will be up rreally soon. I am trying to get the leading lady to be in this other that I am going to film.

  • charlottes a hotty

  • i love your work, but just some constructive criticism. in very rare occasions, not dubbing is the better idea, or dubbing in an environment similar to where you filmed. some parts were very awkward with a bold clear voice where it really should have been masked a bit with background noise and the volume a bit lower.

    keep up the awesome work!

  • thank you for your comment.

Truth is, I am not very good with sound editing. I have bought myself a nice microphone, and I am gonna get myself a decent sound editing program..so hopefully in my future shorts the audio would be at least decent..(this one is edited with imovie..gonna get myself final cut pro)

  • wow anson u r good.

i like the angles you shot from and the meaning is really deep. Good job :) Keep me updated on your new film!

  • thanks!

I have two short films coming up. If you like this..you will hate the one I am writing now..

  • this is a fantastic video. GREAT JOB ANSON

  • thank you!

    ...

...may i ask who u are?

  • charlotte's hot. max not so much.

  • charlotte's hot.

  • Wow. I'm glad I listened and discovered your short films. They're amazing work, showing a lot of experience and care in every scene filmed. The editing is very clear too, and the footage is not blur at all. I enjoyed watching this film! It inspired me too :)

  • Thank you so much! This meant a lot to me. stayed tuned! I am writing a new film.
