I don't know if this is related to this tutorial, but is there a way to do the whole male-to-female voice change, like you can in Garageband? The pitch change seems restricted and doesn't really apply a whole voice change.
You could also use crossfade tool to add a fade and in the parameter box to the left and click the fade and it will bring a drop down and you click slow down. Just fyi
WTH?!?!?! This is an awesome tutorial... Is this how rappers have that second vocal voice that's usually a slightly higher and slightly lower along with the main vocal or is there another way???
@imamusicmogul How do you do straight-up AUTOTUNE, the way for instance "Auto-tune The News" takes regular speech and manipulates it to a melody. I know in a different program it's called "GSnap" and they do something with midi and there's a screen that looks similar to the piano panel you get when you press "P."

I'm not talking just "Pitch Correction." I know how to do that. I want to be able to alter the pitches dramatically. Be able to choose them. i.e. "Bed Intruder Song."
theres a number of problems melodrone? i think ones called, auto-tune evo is the main one, you just have to "abuse" the settings, it will take some time to learn how to correcly do it, learning to autotune properly can take hours
Hey great stuff man , and knowledge is power .. thing is this vids been bugging me weeks now ...at the start of the video when u 1st start speaking there is a tune playing ..like a hip hop beat .....its ultra cool ..i was wondering is that something u made up or from a hip hop joint ... reason i ask is i want 2 hear it better & want 2 work with it ..ive got 2 songs made up allready of it ..hiphop , jamican dancehall just of that joint ....
Well there are also songs where the words don't just DROPS, it like.. falls or slides into that low tone if anybody understood. I wonder how to do THAT :)
@Zombiebrainstew yea i know you can do that and you can also put it in the exs24 and automate that but that takes a little too long and i dont like how automating the semi tones sounds cause it sounds like notes going down... is there any other way of doing it?
@LBProductions511 Well you could fade your original vocal track into your low tone track, might not be the effect you were looking for but it would eliminate the pitch bend sound. Probably not the best solution but it might help. As far as automating tempo for an entire song you just set the tempo in global tempo track. For individual tracks I bounce them with the desired tempo then back into the mix. Kind if a pain but idk any other way. Hope this helps you out bro
Hey one question.. in one video of yours you had a button or a setting to cut all of the silent parts in a vocal record. I can't find it anymore, do you know what im talking about? Huuuhh
The semitones are the equivalent to a 1/2 step, and 100 cents equals 1 semitone. So there is no reason to raise the cents for this application... it actually brings the pitch up half a semitone.
wouldnt it be easier if you automated the first with pitch shifter?

i have a question : well can you do this with automation for example go from -5to +5 but do this smoothly thanks man loving your videos

@Joengen you can!! All you have to do is add some automation to that parameter.. You could pretty much automate anything in Logic!!

100 cents = 1 semi tone. So really you just went down 6.5 semitones instead of a full 7.

But I believe that cents is the tuning, like going 50 cents high would make it go out of tune

Hi,
why would you raise the cent slider all the way upwards?
(Not to make yourself sound more like 50 cent I hope. ;) )
