  • The way these men move their rags and brushes when they shine shoes has a strange calming and hypnotic effect on me.

  • the guy snapping the towel towards the end reminds me of the guy dancing in the black keys, lonely boy video because how he kinda dances while doing it lol

  • Shoe Shining, like a baws.

  • I really like this video, but that kid needs to tailor his jacket.

  • @Scottyman30 I was thinking the same thing. Looks like he's wearing "dad's suit."

  • I use Lincoln shoe polish too!

  • 2pac

  • Anyone else find this kinda hilarious? Or am I just a racist?

  • with all do respect to Mr. Burrell, he is not even close to the best. granted, he puts on a good show, but, the best are located in private country club locker rooms. i know most of you have never heard of this, but, you need to know. he is a "street" shoe shine man. great shoe work involves quite a bit more than what you see on this video. btw, most country clubs and golf clubs have a no-tipping policy nowadays. this policy has all but killed off the best shoe shine men.

  • @BakuGaming22 you might have asmr. If ur a redditor, check out the subreddit r/asmr. Or just YouTube vids of it. Google it if u want to know what its all about.

  • I have no idea how I ended up here but I honestly admire their teamwork! So great!

  • Is it just me or do I find this video VERY relaxing?

  • These gentlemen are pure, old school professionals in their craft. Service is something the English take very seriously in Aristocratic society. Here in the States, it's watered down.

If you get the chance to get serviced by these pros, take advantage of it and tip them well.

  • @rosterchange ....never fear rosterchange. my brother and i will be starting up a concierge shoe service specifically for european made shoes. we believe that the English make the best shoes in the World, bar none. we are horrified by the lack of competent shoe service available for the high quality shoes being produced. unfortunately, we will be located in the States. we are finishing up our website as i write this. you will probably hear of us soon, via word of mouth. continued>

  • @rosterchange ....< we know Europeans would appreciate our service and would like to cater to the American clientele of the English shoemakers. for most of you viewing this video, our services may be a bit too pricey. rosterchange, we hope to have a London based operation in the near future. we will not be a walk-up, off the street operation. you would have to leave your shoes with us over a couple of days.

  • An amazing display of craft - rare to find nowadays.

  • This is better than a foot massage.

  • yeni gibi oldu

  • Wish I could find this level of service around here, truly a remarkable team.

  • Wow definitely a lost art. Great to see people are still practising th craft. I wuld love to know where they got the shoe foam! Well done.

  • make it shine baby!!

  • I hope get this wonderful service.

  • I love the shoe FOAM he uses!

  • Pro

  • Wow that was amazing learning experince, i am proud to admitt that i as well am in the same profession.

  • @levarbrown1490 Good for you. I myself am not in the profession, but I respect it greatly. It is a lost art and a valuable and enjoyable luxury service! I wish you all the best.

  • This is really cool.

  • that is pure skill

  • i have BIG respect for Dudes that do work like this! Folks don't undrstand cause , they don't really have nothing but disposable shoes..(ones not worth maintaining!) u start dropping 350 - 2000+ for ur shoes & u'll get it! i've been have-n my shoes maintained like this since the 70's.. when i first started with my Bally cap toes! i got shoes in mint condition from the early 80's that i spent 250 on! Ballys, Faragamos,mali,ect...Big Boy shoe's! dudes wear lots of trash shoes these days!

  • @snyperkyzer So well said, my friend! You're totally right. QUALITY shoes last forever! I still have a pair that look just as good as the day I got them... 20 years ago! They're comfortable as hell... made like tanks. Love these guys!

  • @chisaoboy what brand shoe u have..

  • Worth 25$ in my books.

  • @HROSS22 Yeah, look at him making good money with it, while you sit on your ass, writing stupid thoughtless shit on Youtube. THAT'S pathetic!

  • @HROSS22 Obvious troll is obvious, but nice try.

  • "Now go home and get your fucking shinebox!"

I'm not trying to make fun of them at all. They provide quality and precise work, which is something American does not really have anymore sadly. There needs to be more videos of these guys.

  • That's how you do it, kids.

  • the baba of shoe shiners

  • Two men working hard and take pride in their craft, I got respect for that.

  • The customer needs to be smacked on the head. His black socks does not match either the pants (preferably) or the shoes.

  • Johnathan is too busy looking at the hoes walk by, he dont give a fuck about his cake!! Those BOYS can sure shine them shoes!

  • @obamathechimp those "boys" probably take in more cash in one day than you do in an entire pay period.

  • Dang! Hand applied... That is the bomb.

  • rare to find shoe shiners in america today.

  • That shit sound like gunfire towards the end

  • now thats what I call black magic.

  • You can get some shoe shines done in the air port. If my memory serves me correct the Dallas air port had a few spots for your choice.

  • WOW! Impressed!

  • @THSimagery one would think that the brush would make hundreds of tiny scratches in the leather making it look dull

  • Gimme that!! Dam..

  • buen video gracias por compartirlo gran trabajo en los zapatos es un arte

  • Hey, get rhythm...

  • awesome work!

I wish I would get such a professional shot shine -done by two gentlemen- in Europe...

  • Wow! Awesome!

  • what was wrong with jonathan's cake?

  • @slithertoothy I don't know but...happy birthday Jonathan! lol

  • Beautiful work here. This is great to watch. A gentleman who takes pride in his appearance, and in his work. Old school class here. Thanks for sharing.

  • Amazing work! BTW, does anyone know the younger guys hairstyle? And how I should say it to my barber? Thanks in advance!

  • @Fisticuffer245 Tell your barber to taper the sides and back and cut your hair with the #2 guard. We call this a bush fade in New Orleans.

  • @NOLARealEstateTalk Awesome bro thanks so much! Greetings to my ppl in NO!

  • those guys are really good.

  • I could have used their services in basic training..

  • In sea cadets, we shine our shoes by spitting on them

  • @baberaider18 i bet you also spit shine your instructors dick too right?

  • @obamasucksdick99 dude, whats your problem? im just saying the say i shine my shoes. it makes it more shiny that way. And no i dont do that to my instructor, he would kill me.

  • @baberaider18 you know, i bet he'd like it =^.*= you might even get an extra ribbon for being a good little sea cadet

  • @obamasucksdick99 you're a dick

  • @arcaneminded i know :D

  • @baberaider18

Best way to polish. I'm a instructor with sea cadets. use normal kiwi black don't use parade gloss. it takes more time to do it but it's worth it.

before anyone else starts I'm a PO(SCC) which means Petty Officer - staff in the sea cadets and I know what I'm talking about as I teach my cadets how to bull.

  • @vikingsmb You are a cadet petty officer or real petty officer? Im an E1

  • @baberaider18

    Sea Cadet Petty Officer.

  • @vikingsmb where is your unit? im at seal beach.

  • @baberaider18

Penarth (which is in South wales uk)

  • Wow! this is great. Very fine job.

  • this is some real niggah shit.

  • These guys take pride in thier work

  • @Headslaught thats because if you do a good job you get a good tip

  • they used to be white but because they use their hands to apply the shine they have changed

  • smooth

  • They should incorporate some flair into into it a bit. like flipping the brushes like cocktail bottles.

  • i've never seen ppl proud of their work like that , those r what god called them human beings

  • Great video... love it. What a lost art. These gentlemen take pride in their work... dress like professional service providers. A well-choreographed team that I'd love to give my business to. Whatever happened to such service nowadays? You're lucky to get a "Thank you" when you hand someone your credit card to pay. Oh, that's right. You don't even do that anymore. You "swipe" your card. It's one more example of how today's society doesn't appreciate human interaction any more.

  • @chisaoboy Whatever happened to such people as your self? Seem like we loose one every day.

  • @TheDraindeimo Thank you for your kindness, my friend. :-)

  • I'd like to turn up in flip flops.

  • Nice job!

But how did I get here?

  • do they even have any shoe shining places anymore?

  • A lost art!!!!!! This gentleman and his partner are pro's.

  • Makes me wish i grew up in the 30s and 40s when people took pride in their work

  • @148scalemodeling You mean in the depression? lol?

  • Letting someone shine your shoes is rather embarrassing when your feet stink

  • that snap made me jump though... lol.

  • niggas b goin in!

  • Now that's America's classic.

  • Home boy needs to get a smaller jacket. His sleeves are getting in the way. Everyone has to start some place.

  • Why does he do the snapping thing with the towel?

  • @cmaldonado8 That's how they used to clear shoe debris from the towel back in the day. He's kinda showing off his technique and skills though.

  • i bet this guy always win in locker room fights.. u dont wanna mess wit his towel whiping

  • This is how people should work with interest

  • See this is what N.America is lacking nowadays we are all so focused on technology an this an that when the simple things like a great shoe shine are forgoten an barbershop shaves etc

  • the older guy was poppin' the heck out of that towel.

  • what now?

    TO THE WEDDING!!

  • i never thought much of shoe shines but your videos have shown me different. excellent work and all the best to you!

  • Upmost respect for them fellas, great job cool as fuck !

  • I polish my shoes alone and I have to say that there is nothing better in the world then the day u wake up shave ure face and get into those clean shoes that u polished last night , if the job is done by a pro then its much bettah :D

  • THAT LOOKS SO PRO :D

  • Wow. Just wow.......these guys are great ! they take great pride in their work :)

  • I bet these guys have customers of all colors. There's nothing racist about it.

  • @theboomcrack the only people that would do this are the brothers because the pay is terrible.

  • @nerdflanders8710 Not really. Figure out what they make hourly and it's more than most hourly workers on a payroll. If they have a good location, they can rake it in.

  • @chisaoboy oh yeah thats why they are shining shoes like a couple of Kansas city faggots.coz they are loaded with money.

  • @nerdflanders8710 A shoe shine can cost between 3 and 9 dollars... they do dozens of shines per day. Even after tax, that's way beyond average wage.

  • @MakeEveryMomentCount whatever

  • @nerdflanders8710 Who said they're loaded with money?

  • @chisaoboy not me. the last post was sardonic.

  • would it be just as racist if two white guys shining a black mans shoes

  • I must say that the best shoe shining is the same in every country but I admire their syncronizing performance...

  • The thing is, your feet are still in the shoes, and you know the customer feels all that rubbing & buffing. So it's kind of like a foot massage too. Nice.

  • how much does it cost?

  • I've not seen people do this before but I like it

  • These are pro doing & loving their job & I dont see a question of being black or white here. In this life game, customer is always king & get respect & the only colour that really matters is fucking green. Actually in the BBC news, there is a new company in West-end London recruiting people to polish shoes for top companies as there's a demand for it. You realise these guys are wearing suits this is a proper professional company for serious dandy shoe players & not what it may seem. :-)

  • i dont see how two black guys shining a white guy's shoes isnt racist.

  • @ponlaluz Then presumably you would say two white guys shining a black guy's shoes is racist too?

  • @ponlaluz Get real, man. Don't think that way.

  • I can almost hear Johnny Cash singing "Get Rhythm" while watching this! Great stuff to watch this Labor Day weekend.

  • What would you call these guys & what they do? What's their trade?

  • @UnderTheRadar78 Loved the work ... couldn't stand the language in the back ground ... Mexican babble !

  • In da evening I´m a tapdancer deluxe! .-)

  • They do good work

  • @UnderTheRadar78 typical dumbass american

  • I didn't even know they still did this in some places? Where is this at?

  • 02:50: Now that is some showmanship! These guys rock.

  • If they were in the UK he wouldn't be allowed to put polish on with his bare fingers. The health and safety gestapo would be down on him in a flash.

  • This is more beautiful than flowers and sunsets

  • Now that's a shoe shine!

  • That's marvelous. Too much shine for those raggedy shoes, lol

  • Didn't Wachovia fail during the financial crisis because they spent all their capital on junk mortgage-backed securities and highly skilled shoe shiners?

  • Awesome. And to imagine it's done without anything really fancy, just skill.

  • His shoes look like brand new Cadillacs at the end.

  • Comment removed

  • Awesome, where the heck do these guys do this? I'd like to stop by if i'm ever near where they are located.

  • This is cool, seems almost a lost art. Maybe ever since the sneaker was invented?

  • I would bet serious money that the older gentleman has the shiniest boots in his military unit. Where was this done? I've got an old pair of Corcorans I'd like to take to him...

  • wtf is this 1940s youtube?

  • VERY impressed. These guys are too pro.

  • Thumbs up if you watched this before you could give one.

  • Mr. Burrell has two switches marked "swag" that he turns on everyday. That's a lot of swagger. I love this guy.

  • Comment removed

  • A touch of class and showmanship. Not only are your shoes shined but it massages your feet as he rubs the wax off to a supreme shine. That kid is getting some "schooling" as well. The holding of the rag, the posturing as he sprays the rag, the tapping of the wax with his fingertips making the noise, The snapping of the rag, the two brushes used on one shoe, the squeeling of the leather as he rubs the wax off , all this is a performance for the customer. you have to appreciate it.

  • Something hypnotic about this. Must be very relaxing to have your shoes cleaned, never see anyone cleaning shoes in UK, they'd rather sponge benefits than have pride in doing a good job

  • @ManOnTheMoon2 as an american i've only seen this in dc, and nyc.

  • @ManOnTheMoon2

totally agree with you on that,

  • Super and needed work!! For all of you who are ignorant about the value of service who think that this is below you to do...think again before it's too late and your pride takes you down. See John 13 :8, apolgize and write a new comment.

  • Its cool to see something like this but I would just feel really uncomfortable sitting up on that high up chair thing while two grown men shined my shoes.

  • Great job - they work well together

  • This was actually as enjoyable to watch as massages, and I was also impressed by the skill and efficiency of their work. That being said, I'm I the only person who felt a little weird watching 2 black men shine some white guy's shoes. Maybe it's just a sign of times?

  • @timodilo I hate to admit that I noticed it but...it's hard to erase the emblematic imagery of racism (like two black gentlemen serving a white man) from your head, even if it really has no bearing or value in real life.

  • What pros :-O

  • why be a twat about these guys..? they are obviously the best shoeshiners probably ever.

  • I have to admit it was my first time seeing someone get their shoes shined...Its hard to find places that still do this or even people who still practice this trade...Good to see the old methods of doing this isn't dead after all

  • @eriklares901 maybe he gets it done all the time.

  • wow, why's he reading a newspaper! i'd be watching!

  • dude this is sick haha i wanna learn how to do that the snap thing that he does with the cloth!

  • Comment removed

  • They are the Babas of shoe-shining!

  • I don't think that I could read the paper while having these highly skilled gentlemen ply their craft directly in front of me. I'd be mesmerized.

  • You're all nuts! Its not hard to shine a shoe. Any person who's served in the military can shine a shoe as well as these two, if not better. They put on a show I'll give you that.

  • @poolplayerbrian agreed

  • @poolplayerbrian But not any person can serve in the military. Remember that.

  • You have to call a man that can shine like that "Mister".

  • how much would a shoe shine coast???

  • This is such a breath of fresh air, seeing two professionals doing their job with such speed and detail, and with flawless teamwork.

  • Im so proud to be a cobbler

  • I'm buying shoes just to get them shined ;)

  • go get your fucking shine box, tommy

  • teamwork, snap snap
