I had the pleasure of seeing Carlo at Bridlinton Priory last September and it was superb, and I'm pleased to find out that he's returning there next August.
You are kidding right Alanpurchase? This guy is a joke to the professional organ world! Talent yes, sophisticated performance, I think NOT! He slaughters every stylistic piece in order to promote himself as a performer. In other words he's like the Liberace of the organ world and wants desperately to be another Virgil Fox which he hasn't a chance. Your juvenile comment only serves to prove who the true idiot is.
He enjoys his music and has a passion. I doubt that J. Stanley would fault him for that. I think it was a nice performance...Ton Koopman no. But thats like trying to compare a Prinzipal 8' to a Celeste 8' :) everyone just needs to shut up and for once enjoy the music! If you feel you can do it better then by all means post a reply :)
Amen Oargano Aeternam: All musicians have the right to interperet the music in the way THEY feel is correct. Listen to four different conductors play Beethoven's 9th, J. Elliott Gardiner, Klemperer, van Karajan & Osawa and you'll get four different versions, one may not be to your personal taste, but they're all equally valid. You're right: shut up...and enjoy the music!
Carlo Curley is one of the best musical communicators out there. All the top organists would agree. davbear221, you consistently go against the grain. It only serves you show you up as a no-talent idiot who wouldn't know music if you fell on it. And I don't care how many competitions you've won.
Trovo che Carlo Curley sia il migliore nell'interpretazione delle composizioni inglesi. Nessun altro è capace come lui di coglierne il senso serafico che esse emanano.
Thanks Mr Carlo Curley for this, I never tire of your delight in the music you play which in turn gives me great delight. It was brilliant to meet you at your Leicester Cathedral concert just a few months ago, I hope to see you again before too long, Susan Vernon xx
Thank you so much for posting your music on here Mr Curley. I'll confess to being another "CC Groupee" and I've been an avid fan for years. You have been the inspiration in my own organ studies and I now have my own instrument (a Johannus), so thank you. One day I hope to have a chance of meeting you and to listen to one of your performances.
I enjoy Carlo very much. He is pretty amuzing also. I saw him at St. John the Divine in New York City and at St. Pauls for the Virgil Fox memorial concert.
What were (was) the piece(s) that you were playing? The first seemed to modulate unusually from a 7th(?) to something of a very unexpected flavour, almost as though it were another piece altogether. Is that very unusual? As you can tell I am not too expert in this area! Thanks, Anthony
Always a pleasure to see someone larger than life rather than just to hear them. Thank you Carlo for your infectious enthusiasm for the organ in everything that you do. How do those birds function??
Actually, I have the cage in front of me. It's a master piece in cog wheels, bellows, whistlers, rods etc. Perhaps Carlo can explain it someday here on YouTube. Stay tuned! /Webmaster
It's great being able to see you perform more often than is possible to see you live. You always reinvigorate me. I consider myself a "Carlo groupee" and you are certainly worth following! You're the best!
Carlo, a pleasure to listen to you as always. I particularly enjoyed coming to your concert in Chrishall outside Cambridge a few years ago. Many thanks.
I don't know if anyone know's where I might obtain a score of this from at all?

Do you have a caffene problem?? Can't you enjoy the phrase or at least make music from it? The dramatics are too funny!!! What a clown!

Carlo:
Where is this organ, and who is the builder.
Enjoyed. Please play some BACH.?
Chesterbarnes1 4 years ago
The organ is in St. Nicolai Church, Trelleborg, Sweden. The organ is combination of an Allen and a German organbuilder, Ott.
Bach? Stay tuned!
